Tyres fitted today and clean (ish) bill of health for all 5 F1's. Two with slight buckles but barely anything and everything balanced up fine so I'm more than chuffed in all honesty.
I'll seal them up and get some pics once the centre caps are back from the paint shop!
Worst wheel took this...
I think around 5 years ago they were ripe for killing as finances made sense. Now unless you need a load of bits it's just hassle.
Then again maybe I'm just old and lazy now, I dealt out the final hand to enough cars I think and nagging regret over the Williams' I've murdered is haunting me still
inner tie rods and rack mount bushings plus ARB bushes and wishbone bushes are all likely to want to doing
and rod ends and lower ball joints if not already done
MOT pass doesn't mean not worn, these cars are pushing 14 years now
Depends what your expectations are, imo a couple of grand will buy you a solid enough car. But the truly good ones are going to be more to prise away from thier owners
If you have a jack and basic hand tools have a go yourself, it's a very simple job and if you are worried about the top mount nuts just pop to a garage first and ask them nicely to buzz them off for you. Obviously retighten to sensible level before venturing home

My RS2 has transformed the car, 2nd gear on trackdays is a thing of the past as I've actually got torque at 2500rpm now. Peak means nothing, who needs an extra 10lbft at 6800rpm? Need bhp then, not torque.

Weather was okay first thing this morning, so badly masked up the arches and set about them with the stone chip.
Got two layers on and then naffed off out, so left it to dry and got back in time to cover the car back up before the heavens opened.
I'll attack the lot...
