welcome back, and great purchase, looks a lot cleaner than my odyssey! yes 116 originally for UK market, no idea how many left!
mines one of the lucky ones with minimal rust in it, i would remove your rear doorcards for a check into the sills to be safe!
coilovers and spacers get my seal of...
as above, get those service items sorted, new genuine engine mounts if the car is mainly for road blasts and occasional trackday imo
then just have a crack on track and work from there, i suspect the first thing to let you down will either be brakes or the Uniroyal's on track
i ran those last year, but they wore out so moved to the Michelin just as the winter set in. and don't get me wrong, dry and wet grip in them are great, but snow is genuinely scary
what tyres you running chap and how you finding them on the white stuff? i'm on Michelin PS3 and they are absolutely awful! zero grip even on the flat tbh. shocked me how bad they are tbh
i still can't decide if to pop the recaros in the phase 1 or the RB. i really want to retrim them to match as you mention though if they go in the phase 1, would be expensive though to match the materials and stick the renaultsport logo in etc.
has to be epic lows as well, even Renault thought...
looks a good buy, ignore @Daz. and do with it as you please.... or at least lowz, spolierz and rimz blud ;-)
however just make sure anything you do do is completely reversible so it can be put back to totally stock to keep the value in it
did similar years ago in my old turbo one, hottest summer over there in years and i had plastic windows etc, it was sweltering. had a 1.2 rack at the time as well so may turns lock to lock!
this car now has a Williams rack on it, simply with the power steering setup removed from it, not even...
its ideal for that @flebay
in other news, window has been fixed properly now with a new old regulator! lol! happy times
also fixed the pesky airbag lights again, the passenger seat connector is dodgy but i don't want to loose the plug and solder it as that just seems pikie to me...... so...
much quieter, RS192 i found a bit droney, this is basically silent. will disappoint if your after some noise when pressing on as well though as its quiet then too
suits me perfectly as I have the other car for the noise and this as the quiet daily!
yes @imprezaworks and I've replied ;-)
cheers @KitsonRis it a labour of love but i wouldn't have it any other way, both mk2's would go before this thing
18-02-2018 More Archery ...
Another coat of rust nomming stuff added after wire brush drill attachment run over the inner arches.
Also bodged up the rust patches with filler which I need to let set and sand back , it'll do for now until I get it all welded in few millenia
Oh and found pic...
On Monday my window reg decided to snap it's cable on the passenger side.
Absolutely nothing to do with me trying to force the iced up frosted shut window open on the motor alone. ....honestly .
So I fixed it.... Sort of...
Pics!
