no necessarily, as said I've been through many boxes and not once popped a circlip yet. its gears I find that strip, that's the biggest cause of death

what the heck engine is that? looks like an alpine V6 twin turbo or something, can I see carbs on it? its certainly not a clio v6 lump

they'll be fine then as the conversion is going on a mark 1 clio 16v, so shorter than 182 lines as standard so 182 should give me nice bit of slack :)

what brake lines do people use for this conversion?

reweld the hangars on the back of the exhaust backbox (nearest the bumper) more than likely. depends how far up it needs to go

my experience with JC5 boxes hasn't been great under boost, mine runs about 270lb/ft and I've been through 13 gearboxes of various guises (laguna, megane, clio, R19) all JC5 and all lasted around 1k miles each however I put a 172 phase 1 JC5 in around 3 years back now and no issues, well other...

cheap and fun basically and of all the hot hatches the look and feel of them stands out. I've owned fiestas/corsas/polos and none really stood out. even the basic 1.2/1.4 etc clios are fun to drive. brand loyalty a bit too, I like what Renault sort of stands for, less of the stigmata...

I always use part worns, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to look for defects etc before you buy and use a bit of common sense to find good rubber at a fraction of the price of new. however, I wouldn't change just one tyre, pairs only, and I sure as hell would make sure they're balanced.

I've had issues with Crucial's, the standard 2.5" don't like Lenovo laptops and cause all sorts of issues and same goes for the mSATA version in Toshiba ultrabooks. so stick to Samsung now

do you ever stop buying cars? do you every drive any of them? ;)

as above, I bombed 2 sandforces few years back when they were really dodgy so I'd avoid ;) Samsung's are a good shout, use them at work a lot now and very very reliable

Daz - FU ;) its never having side strips and I loved the white wheels ;) but they are gone now, too much to look after! and the willy wheels I have on the 182 are destined for the turbo now its going road spec, so fear not. I did have it on willy wheels years back too #Daz.
