they're anti squeal plates (that don't work!), seriously, remove them, i've fitted over 20sets of DS2500's and i've done this on all of them = no squeal

how about, NO CHANCE!
build the strut in the following order (starting at bottom)
strut
large rubber ring (located correctly)
spring
top plate
bearing (the correct way up)
rubber doughnut
brass spacer
17mm nut
job done (all bits are in pic below)
NO NO NO NO NO!!
remove the torx screws when the calipers are STILL ON (get your mate to stand on the pedal MUCH EASIER)
then remove the caliper and smack the disc off with a hammer
homohomohomohomo!!
there's only 1 setup of the rears, as low as possible!
i could tell you the setup i use on the fronts, but then that would save you a job! ;)

all thats wrong with it is rust on the lower sill and rear arches
they all rust on the rear arches
mechanically mint
