....and will cost 3K to upkeep on 12K per annum mileage.
Considered one myself a while back. After talking to a few owners the 3K servicing budget and the notorious bad reliability put me off.
A big problem is that quite a few suffer from chassis rot due to poor powder coating when...
They certainly do look good, but they certainly don't drive as good as they look. If you don't mind driving easy all the time, an N/A 2.0 ltr 16V would make more sense.
If it's just straight line acceleration your after the Turbo will provide. Then again a Cerbera 4.5 will do this much better.
My Gaurdian Angel's worked overtime when I had the M R 2. I span four or five times in it's 2.5 years with me. Never colided with anything.
Chassis just isn't up to the job of being driven spiritedly, matched springs and adjustable dampers, plus S0 2's made a difference, then again I only had...
As far a 4WD for 5K the Lancer is king. It's much lighter than an ST 205 and has better gearing, drive train and deploys traction better. Shame it doesn't look as nice.:dapprove:
M R 2 Turbo's are ok in straight line, I'm sure some will defend em' here but after owning an N/A 2.0ltr 16v some...
I think they're around 1150 kgs which sounds promising.
What's not so promising is the annoying thrust of torque mid corner loosening of the rear end which undoubtedly will send you in the opposite direction at some point of owning the turbo version.
Once I've finished adding mods to the Clio (hopefully this summer). I'll be looking at buying a Westfield SEiW circa 190-220bhp developed from a Vauxhall XE.
Lucky enough to able to run both cars.:)
Sub 4 second 0-60 is certainly gonna thrilling.:D :D
Running out of Autoglym's Car Glass Polish. I've used that product for years now with excellent results.
Easy to apply and remove also.
Is there any product that is better than this one.....???
Twice to three times per week in winter weather. I can't stand dirty performance cars.
Once in per week in better weather depending on miles covered.
Always been like this, since 96' when I had my first car, 5 GT Turbo Raider. I don't like riding round in a car which doesn't shine.
Second that. Will be taking the 420 route at then end of this month at AngelWorks on recommendation from Ben R. It's a safe bet since they work very I'm told. 421'a aren't really an oprion.
Just received another few detailing goodies throught the post today. One of them being Chemical Boys Microfibre wash.
It says on the instructions to add "x" amount of capfuls to the wash depending on the amount of cloths to be washed.
Are we talking about adding the capfuls to a machine wash...
^ I did hear that GAZ dampers have caused a few problems for people that have used them.
Just wondering what other's thoughts are that have ditched their original 182 Cup suspension in favour of H & R coilovers? Just how good is it and what differences are made?
I do this every time I go on a long haul. As I will be doing tomorrow when I visit Glastonbury and various other places in Somerset of the next few days.
Cost me £49.50 to fill the 182's tank and I'll be getting every mile I can from it. I reckon I'll get 325 miles at the very most driving...
