The Monaro is metallic black. So far I've been SRP ing the car every season (only 1000 miles covered or less). Straight after the polishing session EGP is applied. Ideally I'd like a sealant that works very well with Black, has a beading effect, good durability. I'd like to apply it seasonally...
I "think" sealant is just that bit easier to apply and can be more durable then wax. Then again it's been a few years since I've bought any products, things have probably changed.
Sorry Dave your losing me here, sheeter, beader, I'm not famialr with these terms?
I don't mind spending time applying the product, and since it's for the Monaro (which doesn't get out much due to it's 10 mpg) the overall finish is very important. Although it would be nice if it was pretty...
I'd like it to be durable so that it shines for some time. As mentioned when it rains, the glossy sheen is lost. Just trying to find a product which lasts the longest in this respect.
Been using Finish Kare #108 anti static dressing, good product but not too keen on it's matt/satin finish. Tried Poorboys dressing also, not very durable though.
After something that is very durable but glossy and shiny too. Any recommendations?
Thanks.:)
Sadly Serious Performance has run out of Duragloss and need to buy shampoo asap as I've just used the last drop of Duragloss today.:(
Any suggestions of what will work very well with EGP but will give the same pleasing results as the Duragloss or perhaps better?
Thanks.:)
Looks really to be honest. I think its the acrylic one for using over a sealant though? I've already got the carauba one, quite pleased with the results but bottle is nearly empty.
Damm! That's alot of prep there Dave! I'd probably take two wheels off at a time, fair enough. But do I really need to go through the rigma of using iron remover and IPA (still chuckling about the name;)) ?
Interesting, I've been using 901 for some years now I did find it that bit better than Gold Class from Meguiars.
Generally I'm not using waxes, prefering sealants instead and quick detail spray here and there. is BTBM suitable to be used with sealants also?
Nah, I reckon you're right I ought to give this stuff a go. I'm guessing apart from it's durability it also REALLY makes the wheels reflective with a very deep shine?
