I live in Essex. Also a warranty is still valid until June. I feel I ought to honour it by using dealership (not that I wish to) otherwise it may become void.
I own a 182 Cup on an '05 plate. It's nearing 24K. Obviously a service is due. Can anyone tell how much it's likely to cost and what's involved.
Also I've heard something about a belt needing to be changed and that some dealerships are aware of the necessity to change it...I'm barking up the...
The Cup is in Racing Blue. As such I have read a few threads on what products to use but some seem a little conflicting. As I don't wish to spend out on several products to judge for myself. Just want to get the low down on what I should/shouldn't be doing.
Thanks.:)
I'm new to car detailing and would appreciate some knowledge/info on how to make maintain an excellent paintjob.
I own a 182 Cup. I bought it with 16K on the clock back in June it's on 22.5K now. The paintwork is in wonderful condition so far, and I want it to stay in this condtion. The car...
I use my 182 as my daily driver and works vehicle. I was concerned about mpg and that's why I chose a a 182. They're cheap to own. Though it could do with a little more accelerative grunt like the Integra I had. When the warranty expires....:) it will!
Thanks for tip about wearing jeans :). I suspect that's whats caused the problem.
It just seems any little mark is picked up easily. Tried to shampoo out a grease stain with the stain being removed but a water mark appearing instead, despite the effort made to dry the passenger seat with cloths.
I'm finding that my standard flecked 182 Cup seats are marking quite easily. Also a little wear is appearing on the driver's seat. Is this normal? Can a professional valet remove the marks?
I'm intending to buy covers for them perhaps.
21.5K on the clock
All replies welcome.:)
Bought my 182 Cup in June. 4K's worth of enjoyable miles so far.
I'm soon to be without my Impreza also, it's Type-R and would say that the Clio is easier and a little quicker out of the bends due to the Type-R's rear bias. Also the Clio is half of the running costs of the Impreza. Selling the...
Make sure it's a 172 Cup. The weight saving is important with this car, don't worry about ABS no one needs it anyway. Definately much better proposition than a basic 172.
Ah what it is to be old. I'm 32 with 3 points, three claims in the last year, 8 yrs NCB.My Type-R Impreza costs me 1K full comp and my 182 Cup coming in at £750. ;)
House mate? You don't wanna buy one of those. Spend all your money on cars instead.
I've got an STi Type-R Impreza with the 182 Cup as a daily driver. Yeah the Impreza is juicy. Though it's just used at weekends. Selling soon for another or Chimera 450. Sell ya house mate and return to...
I think a mistake has occurred in the pricing of the car. It shoud read £750. Why the f**k are people into this kind of s**t!!!!??? F**king ice!! and gay flippy paint jobs!!! I ask you, god damn cretins!!! Pimp my ride what a load of s**t!!!!
There was one fitted to my Lotus Elise, and yes where several stones had caught the Amourfend in front of the rear arches it had begun to destroy the transparent coating. Dirt did get in there, I couldn't remove it.
The only reason I was contemplating a kit is my Clio wil be doing 17.5K-22.5K...
The biting point is becoming further towards the top of the pedal. Also when up through the transmission the bitting point is felt less so when engaging the next gear. Eventually there won't be a biting point, and slipping will occur.
I seem to kill clutches due to trying to get the quickest time from standstill. It's gotta be the change from 1st to 2nd. This has happened on my two of my previous cars, Lotus Elise and Honda Integra Type R. I don't practice hard launches all the time but when I do I make sure I get the most...
Well I've owned my 182 Cup for nearly a month, now on 17,700 miles and I'm sure that within the next 10K it'll need a new clutch. Perhaps my shifting can be a little unsympathetic at times. This is why I was asking about uprated clutches as I don't want to replace with the Renault item as I know...
I'm well aware of pitfalls of a dual of triple plate item even splinter clutches. I'm not interested in one of those for such reasons.
I'm looking to uprgrading to something with better longevity. I think the standard item isn't strong enough. No side stepping has been performed. Just a few...
Thinking about replacing my clutch as some point in the near future. Does anybody know what performance clutches are available/where to buy/cost?
Thanks.:)
I agree. If it's not a performance car to start with, don't try and make it into one. Many youngsters do it and it's ridiculous. If you've self respect and taste you'll wait unlike those idiots who don't.
Peco's are awful anyway. The sound is terrible, real epitomy of cra*p exhausts!
