It's alot a cash to spend. Sorry but if you'd applied to customising a '32 Deuce Coupe or a rod of a similiar ilk then fair play. If it had some power to back it up, well at least it would have some some street cred.
Save your cash and spend it on insurance next time for something quicker...
Not so. I have a friend who works in a refinery. The Supermarket fuel isn't of the same grade and is sold cheaper due to it's quality not being quite as good. The main oil producers refine it, sell it to the supermarkets though it isn't as good as their braded product. Same as Heinz beans. The...
Excellent superb advice. Just find that fade is occurring and a set of 4 Pots due increased disk size will sort it out. Went through three sets of discs and pads with my Integra. The fourth was about to let go, luckily someone bought it beforehand.:)
Yes a re-map and a few other goodies are on the list. Perhaps something to increase low down acceleration, before the cams kick in as it's a bit sluggish?
After nearly two weeks of owning my 182 Cup I'm feeling that the brakes are inadequate for stopping safely after 120 mph. Fade is occuring and I suspect they'll warp if I continue with my enthusiasm!
Has anyone upgraded to a big brake kit? If so who manufactured it and is it a massive...
The hey day for these cars has long gone.
I bought my Impreza Type-R so I could experience a piece of this before it's too late, even though it does feel a little dated now.
Still I'll probably buy a P1 next year again for the experience and to say I've owned one.:)
I bought my 182 Cup as my daily driver. The MPG is great so is the handling and the peformance is pleasing when driving hard.:)
My Type-R Impreza makes the Clio seem rather slow, obviously so. Boost is great in the low rev range and the quicker gear ratios are fantastic!:)
No where near as...
I do notice that there's a condensation in build up. Not had any spray (17 K on the clock) but seen water next to the rolled in lips of the tail pipes.
A nicer interior due to Recaro suppling the seats. Multi spoke wheels and most seem to be in a metallic red. Exclusive to the Trophy but not the only option I believe?
I find that my rear calipers are sticky when leaving the car over night since I can hear the pads rubbing on the discs for the first few miles. It disappears after that and returns the next morning. I wouldn't worry if the symptoms are the same.
If you can park without handbrake over night it...
Buy Tesco fuel at your peril. There's a reason that stuff is cheaper than the branded fuels. It's crap! It doesn't have the necessary additives, and in another 20,000 miles you'll know about it. Stay away from supermarket fuel.:nono:
My mistake. Idiot here read the graph incorrectly. 134 bhp at the wheels. After a the warrnty has expired I'll probably look at increasing to 190 bhp if possible. It would seem an aftermarket induction system is a step down in power?
I thought the at the wheels figure was a little low to equal the flywheel figure. Although the torque figure was there at 151 lb/ft.
I used Engine Advantage in Witham, Essex. Anybody used them before?
I did wonder how the dyno operator calculates the flywheel power. I guess it can't be acurate in comparison to an actual "at the wheels" figure.
The figure at the wheels was 124 bhp. Anybody else have a similiar figure for a completely standard 182 Cup running on V-Power?
Thanks.
Thanks for the advice.
However today's dyno has quashed all fears of the engine not putting out the a correct power.
178 bhp at the flywheel. I'm happy with the result.:) :)
Although the same chap with the Fiesta ST that I duelled with had his dynoed alongside with myself.
The only...
850 miles have rolled off the clock since making the last post on this thread.
600 miles of easy driving, the rest quite hard. Using nearly all of the rev range, driving up to circa 6750 rpm.
I'd say there's a difference now. 1st gear accelaration is much better, with the engine spinning up...
