I had one quick online game last night which would have been good if it wasn't a total dodgem car race. Fingers crossed for private rooms soon, they have said it is coming to Prologue.

I think it's definitely worth buying this, for under £20 it's good value. It'll be a year at least until the full version is released.

You'll need to complete all classes again on the Jap version after the update. They are all unlocked and show as completed on the Class select screen but if you access the race list there are no awards won. I don't think the GTR was the final B Class race but it was the only remaining event I...

I discovered this morning that my Panasonic plasma does not suffer from screen burn. I fell asleep last night and left the plasma on the Japanese GT5 update screen, it was like that for 7 hours! Fortunately 5 minutes of use this morning got rid of any image retention.

I don't think any of the options i've selected have removed abs as I have not had any wheels lock yet. Perhaps I'm simply a brilliant driver :D I have the wheel set to pro mode, the game in sim mode and all driver aids off. Will have to look into the abs feature tonight.

I've completed C & B classes tonight. Car of choice was the Integra for all any car events in both C & B and then I bought the Evo IX for all 4WD events and finally the GTR 07 to complete the B Class. Loving this game, best I've played with the wheel and seat combo.

The Cappucchino is capable of some excellent powerslides using the wheel, great fun :) Highspeed Ring in reverse is cool. The extra track is a good addition to the game. To get gold you really do need to make good use of the tow from cars in front.

Good luck with that, I've had to restart the update 4 times as it quits out often. Almost done now.

Update over half now, hopefully it'll do the same as the Japanese update did and the last quarter progress bar will rocket up :) I don't want to begin playing until the update is installed or I'll lose some of my game save.

I can't remember what medal I got in the Jap version on that test. Will look later.

Not just me, the forums are full of people having the same problem. Which update has he installed, the PS3 firmware update or the GT5P update? The GT5P update is 400mb and on past experience this can take a long time on the PSN even with a 20mb connection like I have. If he cannot access the...

I'm still waiting on this update to complete, 3rd attempt now :( Looking forward to driving the cars with no ABS, should prove fun.

2nd attempt at the update :D If it's anything like the Japanese update in December last year then it'll fail several times. Good intro movie, love the brief F1 car tease shot at the end.

It's here :) Installed the game and am now downloading the update so I may have a while till I'm playing this. What do you think of it so far Seb? Not having progressed to the better cars yet I imagine you'll be finding it a bit on the slow side.

I stopped playing the Jap version last month so that I'd not get bored of it before the UK release :) It better be there waiting when I get home tonight :D

Fortunately it saves the progress already made so does not start the download from the beginning each time :)

The hand movements etc were also already included, they were in the Japanese version.

Cockpit view was already included, new online modes etc were added. The install uses 2GB (possibly more) and I think the update is over 100mb.

Yes a GT5P update to bring it upto Spec II revision, you've prob still got this to come fUbAr. The game installs to the HDD, the disc is only needed as a security key to prove you bought it.

I love Forza 2 but I think the driving model in GT5P is better, especially when using the G25 wheel.
