I've been downloading some demos for other helicopter sim software and I think I may buy Phoenix, graphically it is far better than G3.5 Clearview looks good too but Phoenix gets good reviews from other heli owners.

What would I be using the 7th channel for? I think there is roughly a £140 difference between the DX6i and DX7. The DX7 does come with servos though.

Using tuned cars could introduce too much of a performance difference, with the standard cars it's a more open challenge and all down to each player.

I keep meaning to download the Raptor 30 model for G3.5, most people at the club I attend swear by RealFlight over Phoenix :D From reading online it does appear that opinion between the two really does differ. I'll probably buy Phoenix too.

I had a few laps last night but couldn't spend long playing it, achieved 8th in that time. Definitely room for improvement though. Next TT we choose will have to be in the Clio :)

No that happens to nearly every person who downloads it, the Japanese version was the same last December.

It'll fail often but saves the current download progress. Keep trying it will eventually complete. Ignore the date and time error or select the 'Set time from Internet' option in the PS3 settings menu to get rid of this message.

Well I had a very brief try at the TT tonight and have set a 8th place time so far but I know I've got far better to come. Will lap some more when I have the time.

Any advice on how to keep the helicopter at static hover rather than it trying to dart about everywhere? On several occasions I'd take off and the body of the helicopter would start spinning around with the main rotor almost instantly. I have no idea what I'm meant to do in order to stop that :D...

Worst case you send the handset back to them which cancels any new agreement.

If you only eubmitted the order today then they can weasily cancel it off of the system, he simply does not want it showing against his sales. Phone and speak to another operator and cancel the order.

Yeah that's right, the contract begins only when you accept a new handset and not from when you could have had one. You can cancel any new agreement and remain on what you have. So long as you return the phone or refuse delivery they will then return you to your existing plan.

I reckon I'll be spending lots more time on the simulator before I venture onto the real thing.

Oh crap! I installed and tried the heli simulator tonight and struggled to even do a basic hover :D The feckin thing was spinning about everywhere, moving backwards, forwards and side to side. I can see this will be a challenge.

If I get a chance tonight then I may well try this TT and see how I do. :)
