Should have said a while back Daniel, i would have sold you one of my GT width ones ;) Chris is now having it for a passenger seat and one of the new ones are mine, both running one standard for driver and one GT for passenger, lol.

Can definitely tell the difference in width just by looking, il be up at the weekend for mine, lol.

Odd that i was running 1 x 172 Ph1 wishbone and 1 x 172 Cup wishbone, which were the exact same dimensions when I measured them before fitting then? Just the castor/balljoint hole location was different... Ive since changed to two Ph2 wishbones due to fitting polybushes etc. Also a 172 Ph2 Cup...

there will be bits of oil but it wont be sat/full in there no, it drains down into the engine

The top breather plate can be removed on its own yeah, you'l need some sealant to put it back on with if its not got a gasket on it...mine didnt so I use sealant

Ran DS2500s and HC disks all last year, liked them but considering its a 'track only' car, whats worth the extra money for the next step up? DS3000s? Carbon Lorraines? Mintex 1144, or 1177 if you can get them in 172 fitment? Im not bothered about noise or dust really either, just the best...

Mk1 is not the same from what I remember, door is a different shape/design so I highly doubt it

They were £141 Inc VAT @ Renault when I checked last week... Then you've got the labour to fit it, new cambelt kit, etc.

Mine emits a lovely high pitch squeel when cold (when revved). I thought it was waterpump/tensioner/idler but checked them all and they seem fine. Then when warm just makes the 'rattly dephaser' noise on idle, cant hear it when revved.

Yeah, unfortunately did not finish the day either...it had Transmission problems apparently!
