Nah itl be fine, just dont do it mega tight...just nip it up and it will be plenty enough to hold it....only taking 0.5mm off the edges of the hole after all
Used the vice bolted down to the table, then the 'non threaded' part of the coilover in the vice, doesn't really need to be too tight as its not like your taking huge chunks of material off...
Coilover on its side so to speak, so the holes are flat/horizontal to the tool. Just did one side at a...
Emulator - http://www.tek-tronics.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=80
Paul @ RSTuning can Virginise it, as well as any other ECU decoding place really (just dont use ECU Clinic), google for them! If you find someone and they ask what you want doing, just say you want it Virginising.
Once its...
For a start, the ECU (regardless of weather the immobiliser is active or not) will always prime the pump, and run it on cranking.
If the immobiliser is ON...the injectors will not fire, and the coilpack will not spark (the coil will receive 12v from the ECU, but not earth it to spark).
If the...
Tried a different ECU?
If the ECU was locked (immobiliser active) the injectors will not fire, so im guessing it cant be that. had this many a time on mine before, in the end I ran an emulator on the ECU to f*ck the immobilser off all together. Never had a problem since.
Are you trying to run...
what engine is it?
If the immobiliser is active (ecu locked) the injectors will not fire at all, the coil will not spark either...as they are the two points generally used to immobilise the car.
Unfortunatley its not as easy as opening the holes out with a drill bit on the FK's though, due to the holes being slotted....easiest way is to just mill 0.5mm off every edge of the hole on a cnc cutter/mill.
Other coilovers with simple fixed holes on the shock end would have been easy to do
Want me to get them machined then? No doubt Burrrrr will ask me about his too anyways...
AFAIK AST are the only ones that will go on without drilling holes in the strut tops and all that (Mark Fish/Ktec etc?)...Mine have been spot on this year anyway
Just do it properly and weld four bars into the floor, sack the runners off completely, its height that does not even need to be there.
Set it up and weld the bars in so its how you like drive it position wise, then bolt the side mounts to those. If you need to move it forward or back...
My JB3 works fine with 172 Fly and Starter.
Have you painted the gearbox at all? Is the mounting face where the starter comes flush with the box clean and giving a good earth? How many earths have you got from the engine/box?
Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
Exactly my point, his V5 says purple.
You dont want to see his thread, 79 of his 80 pages on the Fiesta site are spam. Although, mines only bad due people replying 'x' (3) times in a row when there is an Edit button ;)
Enough now though, lol. Il do a...

Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
Yeah, kept letting them down few PSI at the time, but by the time it got better the weather got worse!
The first few times in the video I could have rescued it with some gas yeah, few other people mentioned it...although sometimes the wheel just whips...
Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
813kg last time I got it weighed (with the Superleggeras on), small amount of fuel in
Cool, il check it out and see what it weighs, then go from there :)
Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
Yeah, the trailer in question is twin axle, no idea how much it weighs. Are there any limits/laws on it has to be a single axle trailer or anything daft?
