Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
The seats, its the only pic he seems to have that I could find to hand!
Yeah....So trailer & load has to be less than the weight of the tow car? Talking say maybe 1200kgs+ to be on the safe side...Landy? lol.
Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
Looking at Pre-1995 106's at the moment ;)
I definitely could not live with a Micra, hate the shape of them with a passion lol.
Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
Well, nearly one year three months on from when I bought it and the project started, its hopefully going SORN again in the next week or so.
After some thinking I was still undecided weather I wanted to permanently keep it off the road, and sort my trailer...
do you mean the hole on the left, where the pipe usually goes on?
If so, yes block it up otherwise it will whistle...
If you mean the hole on the top that connects to the inlet plenum going upwards, I think its needed as the Ph1 inlet manifold has a hole in the bottom of it to connect with it.
Only some 172s and 182s where its two piece and require the bearing on the back of the block are not usable obviously, unless you fit the bearing too, as the holes are there for it...
The other three are definitely interchangeable, as ive got/had sets of all three and have the dimensions. They...
Il send you the bill for the amount of times you've lent my jack (you could have bought 10 jacks by now if I charged £10 a time LOL) ;)
Oh and the bill for the cylinder head I gave you ;)
I'll just to do a Dorkins and not give it you for 8 years.
Well that pic was taken with my 70-200mm @ 200mm when I had it...cropped ever so slightly but nothing much. There is still quite a bit on over winter to practice with (trackdays) if you get bored lol.
Its quite a good place due to it being quite a distance from the track, and you can go further back if needs be. If youve got big-ish zoom 200mm or bigger its easy to drop the shutter speed and get good pics due to the pan being pretty slow
Im running the same setup Jonny. DS2500s, HC's, Lines and cheapo Halfrauds 5.1, never had any issues all year they have been faultless...seems odd that yours should be any different

Post #3...should still work, there are other similar offers that work the same way on there too...just a matter of reading up on them. I renewed at the start of september (for the 2nd year) with no issues
You can get pro for free, lots of people ive told too have done without problems also. Its worked for me for 2 years/renewals too.
Go onto your photobucket, choose the option to 'get pro for free', then use the 'TrialPay' system they promote. From when I did it, LoveFilm had a 30day free trial...
