;) If you find the circlip loose, its sometimes possible to fit a new circlip (in situ) and hope for the best. Sometimes they will just keep popping out though, and the only thing that will fix it is a rebuild or new/replacement box.

Drain the box oil and check for one of these that will probably be loose in the N/S gaitor as said above...

Does the server your going to put it on have PHP support? If so thats probably the easiest way to do it, as it wont rely on the end user having a mail client setup and installed like a basic HTML only form would...

You should have just given Henk the VIN of the car the engine is from when he asked either way, even if he did ask for the 1.2's one. Most likely should have worked.......I just gave him the VIN of the 172 lump, worked fine on mine, dont even know what my Mk1 VIN starts with

IMO makes f**k all difference to anything apart from the heat coming from the manifold. Im running it on mine due to the manifold being VERY close to the brake lines on the Mk1 shell, and I didnt have anything to use as a heatshield at the time, only wrap from when I did my Williams Manifold...

Careful if you're running power steering on the Mk1... Matteh's was wrapped, he had a small power steering leak and it all set on fire!

Earthing the engine will do nothing to the coilpack. The internals of the coil get earthed by the ECU, which then completes the circuit due to the 12v constant being supplied.

No, it wont run without a code. The SIRIUS ecu's need a code present when running all maps (EXCEPT the 1.4 16v lap, which the ECU clinic put onto mine when they f**ked it up, thinking I would not realise). Every other map requires an immobiliser code (weather it be from the UCH or Emulator) to...

Mine does this... Ive replaced the idle control valve, ive had the throttle body completely off and cleaned it all out, then re-fitted with new gasket. Also replaced the throttle cable, and it still does it....so im putting it down the spring internally in the throttle body tbh!
