Ok...todays work...Bumper and bonnet off...
Cambelt covers off, cams, pullies and crank locked at TDC...SO much easier with the proper timing tools...
Rocker cover and original cams removed...
Schricks in place :)
Then put it all back together...

Fitted the schricks this afternoon, timed up runs fine etc etc...
Drove it from my grans to home (under a mile), was idling at home for 10 mins or so, then drove a few miles down the road....When i stopped, had quite alot of oil leaking from...
they are just a dealer for parcelforce/citylink/dhl etc....they were spot on every time i used them
i just put both alloys face against each other with a piece of cardboard to stop marking, then taped round them both with wrapping film to hold them together
nah, just rung a proper place....was gona ring some pikey scrap yard down the road, but thought may aswell do it proper....they sort out all the DVLA stuff and send u confirmation of it being disposed etc...all free
collected it half hour after i rang, removed the wheels, few bits of scrap...
mines painted, satin black rattle can...dosent flake at all and its very flexible, the mk1's even have hinge bits where the 'grilles' are....been fine!

yeah^ exactly...there is about an inch clearance now!! must have been like that for ages
just gotta get that one snapped thread out then a new bolt in, and hopefully it should be fine....all the bolts are at 50nm now so defo the right torque!

pop the front wheel off and measure the distance between the shock bolts center to center, if its 60mm you have the cup pack suspension, if not, you dont..
well I went for FK as they were ok on my old car, and not a bad price, plus i was making the holes bigger so didnt want to be modifying 700quid coilovers etc
