Ok cheers mate.
I'll have a look for the sound deaning in next 5/10 mins as i'm off to halfrauds to get paint for my matched inlets.
I'll have to keep an eye out for the adaptor for the spanner as it may be worth buying :)
Ok cheers mate.
Where did you get your little attachment that lets you put it on the end of a spanner ?
And what sound deadning you on about ?
The Bulkhead deadning at the back of the engine bay ?
Or Toyo T1R's which are just as good and cheaper
I'd say
Exhaust
Filter
De-Cat
Remap
Colies or decent springs
Maybe
Buckets and a cage
Splitter/Cup Spoiler as Tav said
And some Carbon bitties
Is the sump strong enough ?
What about your tensioner on your alternator setup ?
Did you affect that in any way ?
Reason i ask is mine is a f**k about tensioner wise as i have A/c :(
And do you mean loosen off and remove all the bolts ? and the knock the lower inlet with a hammer towards the...
Ok cheers Ben,
But where would i jack it up from ?
As the sumps a no no.
And would it really jack it up enough ?
What about the bolts beside alternator ?
Ok thats what i thought, i was gonna go over the injector ports on the matched inlets with fine emery paper before refitting the...
I have recieved my matched Inlets from Jamsport with PTFE Gaskets to replace my standard ones :)
I think they need a clean up and paint though as they look rough to the standard ones.
The Inlet Manifold (plenum) looks straight forward enough to swap.
But before i fit them is there anything...
I've just noticed
Although there are more Ph2 172's on the road there are still less Iceberg Silver 172's registered than Cups even though iceberg is the most popular colour.
1304 Icebergs Registered

and
2302 Blue Cups
"Iceberg FTW"
Lol...
I'll swap with you.
I'm fed up sitting at home every day :(
Welcome aboard man, glad to see another member from up here.
Justin, do you have a machine polisher/buffer ?
Cheers mate
Just rerouted it now the same way as your pic
I musta moved it outta the way when fitting my Grp N Ecu.
All sorted now though.
Heres hoping car runs ok now after battery connection and Ecu plug being removed. :S
Thought about doing that, but not really anywhere to cable tie it to.
With out airbox rubbing on it.
Or has anyone got any pics of where the header/expansion tank bottom hose is meant to route through ?
Na there not removable without grinding them off and i'd probably go through the cable.
And to remove my old clutch cable i had to break the tab clip things which clip it inside the hole going through the bulkhead into the car to get it out and don't fancy doing it with this one.
There was...
I fitted a new clutch cable to my 172 recently as the old one was all stiff and basically shot.
The new clutch cable a received from Renault was exactly the same as as the one i removed bar having two big weights attached to it.
I thought nothing of this so proceeded to fit it to the car and...
