What did you use to shave the seats? i tried a bic disposable on mine but it didnt touch it as i think the blades are too close together. Both my seats are really bad.:(
A friend recently found out I got a 172 and asked if it was the turbo version :s I just smiled and said no they don't do clios like this with turbos. He went on to say, "well you can get a turbo kit". Plonker.
Later when I was parked next to another Clio he stood back and said "are they based...
Dude, what size are u after? I bought 4 195/50/15 to go on some wheels but the prick let me down. I found another set of wheels but the tires are all good so the toyos are sitting here. Pm me if your interested. Thanks
I've done two of my oz f1s in the last few days. A few hours each night. I've spent about £60 on paint lacquer primer and filler. The lacquer is 2k and was £10 per can. They have come out perfect tbh with little effort. My advice is get decent paint and lacquer because the halfods ones are s**t.
Seams pretty cheap mate i thought the key coding was £80+?
What happened when trying your spare?
I had a non sport ph1 1999. Couple of days before i sold it this happened. would work sometimes and not the others. Replaced key batteries in both keys and replaced the decoder ring. It kept...

Re: Insurance. Fookers! (young 172/182 owners look in)
Well heres my story::approve:
Identical to Lukes tbh. went on go compare and got some quotes for a ph1 172 @ £2500. Went and bought one. Spent the whole of the next day (saturday) ringing round for insurance. Everyone was saying £3000+...
Cheers everyone. Definately worth putting this thread up lol.
Cheers for the info luke. The guy who you must have saw must have been the dealer who owned it prior to the guy who owns it now. i assume? Dont suppose you HPI'd it? Do you remember the service history? past mot's im intrested in to...
Yeh they fitted straight back on. Plenty of clearance.
I havent seen the Mk2 though so i dont know whether you could do the same. Apparantly you need to cut part of the door card away and screw the baffle directly to the metal.
Yeh thanks. All of them im looking at need the second cambelt change. Im trying to factor this into the cost. Was just after some opinions on price before i go tomorrow. Its better to have a few opinions from CS rather than just my own.
The wheels are an easy fix. I dont like them myself...
Only just realised that about the timeframe lol. He said the car was owned by a dealer before him. Then he bought it they told him the cambelt has been changed. 12 months MOT when he bought it.
He must have bought the car with the wheels on. But the way he described it was like he fitted...
He bought it from a garage 4 months ago. Hes using the pictures which were put up when he bought it. He said the alloys are 3 months old. Ill ask if he still has the original alloys.
I will HPI the car myself after viewing it. Was just asking on the off chance anyone could do it for me to...
Going to view this tomorrow.
Opinions price wise?
2000 (X) 172.
59,000 miles.
He said its had a cambelt but no paperwork proof.
Pictures are from the garage that he bought it off. Hes owned it four months...
