    FAO - Cliosport.net old-timers

I first joined Cliosport in 2000, I had a black Clio 'valver' lowered, rolling on 17" TSW Venoms :D The club back then was littered with 16v models with the introduction of the Mk1 172 coming out. I think Nick and Jas ran the club back then. Ill have to dig out a pic

Does the TB have a gasket too, is that ok? Inlet manifold gaskets? Just thinking air leaks

Coolant temp sensor can throw up problems and not show up on the code readers too :o :D Are you looking into fitting the rear lambda in the decat to clear that off the list?

Doesn't the TB have to reset if it's been taken off too?

Was gonna say I thought the 182 was FBW and not cable like the Phs1 Clio 172

    Destructive misfire help..

Well with mine it idled ok and drove ok on light throttle cruising but on full throttle it misfired slightly, rear sensor. I'd say have them tested, could try swapping them. CLIP should give you a reading on the sensors

Possibly, I'd say fit the sensor in the decat, clear the codes and try again. The ECU will IMO re learn new cycles with it hopefully running ok. No harm in giving it a go

See this is what I was saying about the rear sensor, mine is fitted in the decat. When the car was cold it was spot on, as soon as it was on temp it started running badly. Apparently 182s are quite sensitive regarding anything emission related, a friend of mine worked for Renault. That damn EML...

You can test the lambda sensor off the car with a multimeter and blow torch, heat up the sensor and take a voltage reading. I can't remember what voltage but when it gets hot the voltage rises fairly quick. Maybe the garage could test it?

    Bah - Still cutting out

I have a decat on my 182 and have both lambda sensors in place, the post cat sensor wire was ripped off the main loom causing it to judder on full throttle, clear on light throttle. Hard wired the lambda direct to the loom, cleared the dash lights on CLIP and it's been fine ever since. Some...

    So I went to Renault....

Jeez, I paid £5 each from Renault a year ago. There's 2 centre caps on Dialogys that look similar to each other and some parts people get em mixed up, 1 is about £16 and 1 is £5. Unless you quoted the part number that's on the back of the centre cap to them

It's been a while: The RB182 is back

Wow, stunning, the ride height on the OE wheels is just right :) I bet its nice to have it back on the road after all that work

    Renault 172 alloys in 15"???

They are slightly different in style on the spokes to the Alium model wheel I believe

    Renault 172 alloys in 15"???

Yep that's the name, I've just been on E Bay and there's 1 on there with a bid of £80 with minutes to go. Apparently about £150 each from Renault.

Emissions light come on -fault codes found, anything to worry about?

A simple blow in the joins either end of the cat can throw up an EML too

New Spax RSX + RB = Wash & Pics

Cheers, im using OE Renault top mounts. I didn't fancy drilling holes into the turret to fit solid mounts this time round ( had K Tec solid mounts on another Clio) it's an everyday car with the odd trackday thrown in :)

New Spax RSX + RB = Wash & Pics

Cheers, I'm gonna leave the ride height for this week then decide what to do as changing the front will incur slight changes to the geometry. The 16" Turinis will go back on the end of this week too as the OZs were bought for track wheels (but like them on the car too much to take them off!)...

    All Spax RSX owners

I've posted a thread in Clio Media, i tried out the speed bumps this morning and it doesn't feel too bad, not as harsh as the GAZ setup but I couldn't adjust those. Only fitted the kit a couple of days ago and not been out in it to see what they're really like. I'm going to Blyton Park in 2...

New Spax RSX + RB = Wash & Pics

The front wheel does look like it has more arch gap but i think its like that as the front wheel dips on the black drain cover. I bought them from FST Automotive in Sc**thorpe for £560 when they had a discount offer running a month ago. The wheels are Primer Grey then lacquered, i still have...

New Spax RSX + RB = Wash & Pics

Had the Spax RSX coilover kit fitted yesterday so i thought i'd treat it to a wash and take a couple of pics. Really just to show people who were toying with buying the kit how they look. Rear adjusters set to their lowest position, front adjusters set about half an inch from the bottom thread...
