    I’m sure the standard F4R cams work better with the turbo, rather than the F4RT standard cams iirc... isn’t it something with the n/a cams lift duration works well..? So basically a mild upgrade by keeping the n/a cams. If I’m remembering correctly, it’s the same principles as the Vaux guys...

    @MrBlonde might be worth sending that alternator off to be refurbished - always worth having spares. I went to the Ring a couple of years ago and took a box of basic spares (alternator/plugs/leads/brake pads etc) always peace of mind on long trips.

    It depends how much time/money you’ve invested in your 182. If your 182 needs work and the 172 is an upgrade, then it’s a good decision. If your 182 is well maintained and a good one, then you’d be mad IMO. There’s no real difference between any of them, as in actual driving feel.

    I’d just buy the best 1*2 you can find for your budget, there isn’t that much of a difference between them all if your swapping parts for upgrades anyway. So just find the best example of any model IMO.

    You can buy the ball joint separate from RSport iirc, you don’t have to go to the expense of buying the whole knuckle like some garages advise.

    Definitely sounds belt related - both belts too, as the water pump is on the timing belt and the power steering is on the aux belt. Does the car still run/idle?
