I saw that the other day, i thought the exact same thing when i saw it had T1R tyres all round. People still mention them as a plus point. The worrying thing is they're new, so he's chosen to fit them to the car.
For £5.5k, i'd be looking at this one on the forum if it's still available...
I thought the main issue with turboing a 172/182 was that the chocolate gearbox couldn't handle the torque. They're known for being leak in standard trim, so adding 50% more torque can only mean the gearbox becomes a consumable part.
If turboing is the route you want to take, maybe look into 197...
I wouldn't even entertain buying one of these off a dealer to be honest. Buy off a forum member, or if you can find a cheap one locally then privately.

It's under completed listings
I've considered a R26 a few times too actually. I guess mapped they'd be quicker than a clio, and the lsd probably helps them handle as well/better.
In fact i was looking at Megane 250 for sale last week, thinking to myself i actually fancy one of these next.
Turned DTC off on the Z4 last...
No that's not my old car. Though i did see it up for sale again on the facebook group (Audi TT) recently. The car's got QS wheels and LCR front splitter now.
I don't doubt there was a long queue of people lined up to purchase it.... the only plus in missing out is that in reality I'd have probably thrown £2k plus at it on servicing, wheels, tyres, suspension, mapping, seats, etc.
I think part of the issue is that i don't really want to be spending thousands improving the car. I don't dislike it as it is, I just don't love it like i did my little 182's (especially the first one).
I probably need to replace the rear tyres as i'm not happy with the grip the F1 AS2 are...
I probably still check the classified section every day on here. I even asked my wife for permission to buy the 182 that was up over Christmas for £600 (in Nottingham too). But with it being Christmas and my wife's maternity pay stopping at the end of December, the timing wasn't good, and she...
It wasn't long ago, i bought the Z4 before i put the clio up for sale, it didn't get much interested, so stripped some mods off and sold it closer to standard for a cheaper price. Think it sold beginning of November, but i didn't really drive it as it wasn't properly insured (insured for single...
I've owned a Clio 182 3 times now. Seems like every time i buy a replacement car after selling one, i'm looking to get back into another Clio shortly after.
In between the Clio's i've had; a Diesel Jetta with Hybrid turbo and custom mapping (made around 220bhp) for about 18 months, a 290bhp mk1...

Advertised my 182 on eBay now...
Do these have much room in the rear?
I've always loved the look of the coupe and considered buying a 330d a few times this year. Thinking i'll probably replace my Z4 with one, when i need to start dropping the kids off at school.
Sky will mirror my NCB and will cover me for £380 with a low mileage usage (I was quoted £325 for my Z4 recently, for 12k miles), if i was to only tax for 8 months of the year, that'd be approx £580, so £48 a month. or £680 for the year and £56 a month
I do really like the Z4, and it suits my...
I'm going to phone a few insurance companies up i think and see what they can offer. I've only really checked online quotes, and reducing the mileage to around 2k a year, didn't make any noticeable difference. But a proper limited mileage policy may be a good option as in reality i'll not have...
I guess the issue is the insurance really, like i said it cost me £500 at Greenlight and Sky previously, and has been going up slightly. Though mileage will be reduced big time if i keep it so maybe that'll make a difference.
Crazy how these are so expensive to insure really. I can insure my...
My 182's been up for sale since i bought myself a Z4 about 2 months ago.
I've pulled the RS2 off (Sold), the Treadline seat out, and will be selling off the wheels to put standards back on.
But i took the car out last night for a quick spin, and now i really am having second thought about...
I've just sold my RS2, and to be honest I wouldn't bother with another one again. The gains are so little for the money you're paying, mine mapped to 185bhp with approx 150 ft/lb torque, the torque curve was pretty flat which is good for a daily driver, but you lose top end torque as a...
I've pulled off the RS2 today, but didn't manage to get finished due to the rain.
Anyway, the RS2 only had the two sensors attached, and a single breather from the underside. This runs back to the rear of the engine and into the bulkhead.
Looking at the original 182 inlet, i've got three...
Just trying to help solve the performance issue on these for you, so that you can rid your regret for not owning one.
In reality it makes no sense, you'd probably end up throwing £10k at it to get it reliable at 300bhp.
I had a 2.0 tdi Jetta between my two 182's, that i had a hybrid turbo and...
To be honest i think it's a great spec for the money i'm asking for, and if i was looking for a clio i'd be all over it. haha
But the RS2 isn't something that's talked about on here much anymore, and generally people that are interested already have a Clio.
I would much rather it sold...
Just looking for the simplest solution that allows me to remove the RS2 to be honest.
I'm thinking a more standard car at a lower price will be easier to sell. People wanting power much above standard seem to go boost these days generally, and there are plenty of boosted clio up for sale...
I'd read this before, probably why i've got it in my head that the ecu may be locked on mine by RS Tuning.
If i'm going to pull the RS2 off mine and put it back to standard, i need to be spending as little as possible putting it back to standard for it to make since. So going to EFI for a...
Locking the ecu following the RS Tuner remap makes sense. I just didn't want to have any issues once i'd put it back to standard and tried to switch the mapping over using the box
