Low mileage 172 Cup £14,999 on ebay

With 27k miles on it, if it's mint I'm sure it'll easy go for 5 figures, if not the full asking price to someone looking to put it into a collection. Personally, I'd rather put that money into a Trophy though. or even stretch to a V6. Actually if I had £15k to put into a car as an investment...

    K20 powered 172

Cheers mate, yeah I wasn't expecting it to be easy to move, even fully stripped a Clio is going to be around 950kg, just that it's manageable for a single person. It's a new garage with a concrete floor, though I've not looked at the finish yet, as it's got rubber matting down from when i used...

    K20 powered 172

Are they the SGS Dollies? I'm in the process of sorting my garage to make room for my new Clio, and was looking at these. Figured it'd make it easier to move the car up tight against the wall when it's just in storage, and pull into the middle of the garage when working on it. My garage is only...

Alternative to TD pro race thats actually available.

I think the eBay code finished last week. It was 20% off up to a max of £75. So we're just under £400

    Cheap Ebay washer blanks

I prefer the little round plastic ones that cost about £3. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265098328543?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338722076&toolid=10001 Didn't bother with the carbon wrap though

Bosch VS Renault rear abs sensor

I'm pretty sure Stark are there own brand, and they will typically send out the Stark in place of the ordered item if it's out of stock from what I've seen online. Not seen anything bad about them that i can recall though. Just annoying that they don't tell you before hand and it's a surprise...

    Rota TFS3

They're basically a copy of the Enkei rpf1 wheel. Ultralite do a set too, if you search these, you'll find a few examples. Post #3614 https://cliosport.net/threads/the-ph1-172-appreciation-thread.393465/page-91 https://cliosport.net/threads/ultralight-f1-alloys.801518/

    182 Tyre Recommendations

To be honest the 16 inch tyre was from about 6 years ago on a different Clio, but you could definitely feel the instability in the tyres. I can't remember what tyres I had on prior to swapping now, but swapped wheels and tyres due to getting some new wheels, and whilst the grip was better with...

    182 Tyre Recommendations

Well they we're 195/50/15. However, I've had PS3 in 205/45/16 previously and even though the sidewalls were slightly smaller, they were still soft and unstable feeling for me.

    182 Tyre Recommendations

I ditched a set of pilot sport 3 with about 4 to 5mm of tread left as I thought they were rubbish. Far too soft in the sidewalls felt like the wheel was rolling over the tyre wall when pushing a little bit. I switched to a new set of AD08R's and was much happier. This was in the middle of winter...

    The life of... SharkyUK's Trophy

Reading the latest updates on here, makes me question whether I should keep my RB. Glad you're enjoying the Trophy again, with all the time and money invested in it over the years along with the pain, you deserve to get plenty of enjoyment from it. In terms of tyres, the best Michelin do is a...

    The New Phone Thread

I've had my Nord for almost a years now, ordered pretty much as soon as it was released to replace my old Samsung Note 8. The only downside for me is that the camera isn't brilliant. It's not too bad, but my wife's Pixel 5 is so much better and that phone wasn't much more expensive (£379 vs...

    High flow catalytic converters

Mine passed with a 200 cell magnaflow last year. The main issue that I can see is they don't seem to last very long, hence the 6 month warranty ktec do (last time i checked). Don't expect it to pass an mot in several years time basically.

    Toyota MR-S JDM £2300

Would be pretty good, but to be fair I bet the 2zz MR2 is faster on track than a 3.0si coupe (assuming they don't have a LSD as standard)

    Toyota MR-S JDM £2300

Yeah its an earlier 3.0i, so only 231bhp. But it's got some nice extras like M Sport seats, etc.

    Toyota MR-S JDM £2300

I enquired about this one last Friday, but ended by putting a deposit down on a Z4 instead on saturday. https://www.mr2roc.org/forum/index.php?topic=70355.0 The Sable facelifts always seem to go for good money, so seemed quite cheap, with sensible mileage.

I thought the JDM box on these didn't come with the LSD like the UK models?

    The New Phone Thread

My wife bought the S21 ultra last week to replace her Pixel 5. Was a little over £1k, with the 15% discount. It's going back this week for a refund, as she was really disappointed with the camera performance on it compared to her Pixel. Too many blurry pictures inside, and colours outside are...

    Catalytic converter prices

Glad I sold mine a few weeks ago. It wasn't really usable anymore anyway, as the inners were loose and moving about. Paid for my Gearbox rebuild, and most of the cost of having a custom sports cat made up. Prices will likely increase again though, whether they'll reach the same high or not is...

    Gearbox oil manufacturer type ? 172 182

That was my thoughts too to be honest. Just i'd not noticed the grading difference prior. However, I've just spent 5 minutes googling, and I'm not really concerned anymore. Car's back on the road by the way and minus the binding front caliper that I'm hoping to rebuild this week, is running...

    Gearbox oil manufacturer type ? 172 182

I renewed the oil in my box start of the year with Redline MT90 75W90, the bearings became noisy a few weeks later, probably only used the car twice. Got the gearbox rebuilt and was going to order the genuine Elf stuff this time around, but instead ordered Redline again as it was quite a bit...

    Fast road clutch choices

I've had a Valeo installed on a previous 182 about 7 or 8 years ago, but went for the LUK this time around from KAM Racing. Only reason for not going Valeo was because I'd seen a few post about issues with the Valeo over the last year or two. Not sure if it was a change in design, faulty batch...

182 not starting - Solid red light

One faulty wire in the end, the sleeve of the wore had a tiny hole in it and the wire inside had deteriorated to nothing basically. It looked like green powder. It's much bigger in the pictures because I'd been fiddling around with it. Mick found the issue and replaced the whole cable for me...

    The New Phone Thread

I bought the OnePlus Nord for £379 about 6 months ago to replace my old Samsung Note 8 that had poor battery life. It's been excellent, battery last 2 full days, never have any speed issues and the screen is pretty good. It's been pretty solid and I like the OnePlus software. Obviously it's no...

182 not starting - Solid red light

After the car being on Axel stands for about 3-4 weeks, it's good to see it sitting on 4 wheels again. Even if it is ditched.

182 not starting - Solid red light

It's taken me a little longer than expected to get the gearbox sorted, partly because I've also replaced all the bushes/ball joints/wishbones springs, etc and cleaned up and painted parts before putting them back together. Doesn't help that typically only get 1 day a week to play with it. But...
