the bottom of the stick where it joins the linkage is held on with a plastic bush and a 13mm nut
can of WD40 will sort it
also the ball joint under the gear gaitor can also dry up too, WD40 again (or grease, as WD40 might stink out the car)
well the box we put in the cup was "apparentley" only 3K old
its been in 3 weeks, and is showing signs of being buggered already
if buying second hand, always be cautious, and get the box rebuilt before installing (£150)
yozzas first engine 80,000miles 30 odd track days, thrashed constantly, eventually blew up
everything was changed before the services intervals (ie cambelt at 60K instead of 72K)

ive seen a few with bent rear stub axles, and a few with BOTH rear bearings knackered
the above causes the rear wheels to camber in by upto 1deg (1.5 in extreme cases)
also knackered rear bearings can cause excessive toe in (never seen them toe out from this, but possile)

no need until 72K
but if you want to, you need to remove the sump plug on the bottom of the gearbox (same size as the engine oil sump plug)
youll also need a new sump plug washer
the refil point is on the front of the gearbox (plastic screw) youll need a funnel to pour in the oil...
