it wont damage anything, the way ive solved it in the past is by covering the rubber bush in grease and also before putting the 21mm top cap back on i fit 2 or 3 washers
this helps raise the cap slightly to stop it from touching the bodywork
remove the fuel rail cover (the big heat sink thing at the front of engine)
this makes removing the oil filter easier
new filter FROM RENAULT is about £7 plus washer for sump plug = £0.50
new oil 5W40 FULLY SYNTHETIC = £30-£35
no i mean you need to put two large washers onto the two bolts, then bolt them to the car the large washers spread the load over the surrounding plastic area and lift the bumper up

new around £90-£110
second hand around £60
and yes they filt on standard shocks...
