king, the problem with that is that the struts are moving parts, and it would cause the struts to seize if it was monted under the top mount nut!!! OMP i think did one for the 172 like this, so no drilling, but during testing found it caused the top mounts to seize (ask Roamer, he enquired...

Just taking out the rear seats completely and decking the back out with MDF covered with carbon fibre (like K-tecs demo 5)

Yeah hold on for a wee bit, K-tec are doing a cheaper bonnet for the MK2s!!!!! I have the Original Procomp Carbon Bonnet and it looks mint!!! Performance wise it wont make a bit of difference 4kg saving!!! Its more a styling thing than a performance thing
