I'm with @imprezaworks in that the first place I'd try is both heatshields. The one on the starter motor is my bet.

The shifter does take some getting used to, and as Graham said very minor adjustments can improve it. Any excuse for a diff ;)

J-tech painted them and lacquered them in hi-temp paint my friend. When it goes in for the ASTs I'll ask them what they used, and let you know :)

Indeed. If the engine had gone I'd have wheeled it to yours, and left it there until I could face seeing it again 😂 Thanks, it's no detailed / unmarked show queen but it scrubs up ok.

Appreciate the comments Josh, I've got Anglesey, Oulton, and Blyton x2 booked. I'm hoping to do Snet and Bedford as well, so hopefully catch you at one of them :)

ASTs in terms of quality are brilliant. It's just the hassle of having to acquire them that pisses people off. But, I've happily avoided all that :)

I'm excited about Anglesey because it will be first my TD since some significant improvements that I felt I was "used to" with the previous spec. It will be my first TD with; - braking: the brembos and ducts - suspension: ASTs vs Bilsteins - engine; another 70bhp / 60lb ft from the charger...

I went for the AST 5200 mate, with custom spring rates. They can be an absolute pain in the arse to get hold of / sort (ask @NorthloopCup lol!) but J-tech are an AST distributor so I ordered with them (they're obviously doing the geo etc) hence the 3 weeks. Speak to Jamie there and he'll see...
