As above, initially keep it simple, see what you think is letting it down and ask specific questions based on that.
So if you feel brakes are poor for example then ask in the brakes and suspension forum, etc
When going from the front I just use the wishbone mounting point area of the subframe to each side. If it's too low just park it in the garage with front wheels on some small wooden blocks
Oh yeah agreed, they've reached stage now where spending the money is going to be worth it. I didn't mean yours was bad as in rotten or anything btw, didn't mean to ruffle like. Was just surprised for a 34k is it car?!
yours look pretty bad for the mileage @Ant1 but no worse than mine and I've just gone with treat from inside, i'll probably have the sills covers off the outside over summer on both cars too to clean out and check
need to buy a rivet gun tbh
I run 20mm front and 15mm rear on my 182
Doesn't affect the handling in any noticeable way but I only use the car on road so not like it matters that much and imo it looks much better! Lol
10-03-2018 Worth Saving. ..
Thought I'd actually take a nosey into the abyss today and check the inner sills for tin worm.
I'm at the crossroads of do I spend the money to sort the arch or not, rot in here would seal the old girls fate...
So opened her up
And took a peak with bated...
yeah tyres can be easily as heavy as the wheel, usually heavier
my slicks weigh 6.3kg each and the wheel they are on are 4.9kg and the slicks are pretty light tyres
R888's, NS2-R's etc weigh a fair amount too
Not weighed the 2118 I don't think or if I have can't find it. I'll weigh one tomorrow, they're currently fitted with r888r tyres which I think won't help as they weigh a bit
