Oh for sure, bonnet change, paint the trophy spoiler and remove the black wrapped section of the rear bumper. See how it looks in the flesh when it lands.
I’ll be happy just to drive it to start with!

Here are some pre-shipping photos in Japan before she goes on the boat to Canada. Should be with me in about a month and a half!
Super Excited!!
Big thanks to a few members on here that have helped me during my hunt.
For anyone else that is wanting a replacement pump, I installed this one yesterday. Solved my starting issue.
It is a touch longer than the standard unit but it did fit ok.
Item Name: Fuel Pump
Part Brand: ESEN SKV
OEM Numbers: 133356 / 250602674R* / 250607248R / 393750135 / 5968084 /...
Well there are no specialist out here. So there are a small group of us that do the work ourselves, using the guides and knowledge base on here and other places.
Friend pulled the engine out of his v6 and did the timing belt and water pump not so long ago. Actually not that bad. We have access...
Hard to say, there is a 'base' cost so import any car into Canada and then the value on top of that car be tricky to judge.
I have mine for sale $6850 and see if I get any sniffs.
The more people see the cars and get exposure to them the greater the demand will be. Mine and my friends v6's...
I believe back in the 80's they sold Renault Le Car. They were terrible so Renault has a bad reputation on the back of that over here.
But nothing has been sold since then, that is my understanding.
Exactly, people go wild for my friends Ph1 v6. Definitely having Renaults out here makes for a good talking point.
If you look through the used car pages out here it is very depressing, it's all boring junk. Hence the love of importing unique things.
I gets received really well, people love it. But it does definitely surprise some people off the lights.
I am actually trying to selling the silver 172 at the moment.
There are not many good clean 6’s in Canada.
There are some dogs which haven’t been looked after. Kids buy them and trash them.
Not many good ones come up at auction these days.

Canada didn’t get any 6’s so all have been imported from Japan. Not sure how many are in the country now. I never see any.

For a really nice Ph1 172 at auction (sub 60,000 miles)...
Car price 250,000 yen = 1650 GBP
Brokers fees = 1200 GBP (Japan and Japan shipping from auction to port etc. and Canada combined)
Shipping across the ocean (inc. insurance) = 1000 GBP
Tax (10% on 1650 GBP) and customs clearance fees =...
No worries! Car arrives beginning of May.
It has done 41k km so 25k miles, left hand drive. Comes with a mountain of service history.
Trophy front splitter, trophy rear spoiler, CF bonnet, aftermarket exhaust, aftermarket suspension (not sure which brand, I saw some yellow springs so maybe KW)...
The engine will crank but not fire.
The pump is 100% not 'whurring' on second ignition.
I have a second 172 sitting in the garage and tested them back to back and in one you can hear the pump prime and the other you can't.
Need to source a fuel pump as I think mine has given up the ghost.
Fuel pump relay is good but cant hear it priming when the ignition is switched on. Pump wiring is getting 12V also.
Any one know the Renault part number or an alternative that is a direct replacement into the housing?
Thanks
So it's been a while since I've updated this.
Cars leaving the nest in the next month are the Delica and the RS Iceberg 172
But there are some fine replacements on the way
The Delica is my daily driver, it has been great for winter and has all the space you could ever need but...
Yeah its a resonator. The exhaust is designed by a company called SiFo and manufactured by HKS in Japan. It is specifically designed for Clio 172's. Quite a rare exhaust and each one has a build number.
Yes! Took a while to put the deal together but we came to an agreement in the end. Driven it a couple of times now. It sounds fantastic idling cold and when you get on it it pops and bangs. Definitely puts a smile on my face!
No it's not mega money but by the time you have added shipping and tax it does start to creep up. But most of the cars from Japan are so so so clean on the underside with no rust or corrosion issues. It's quite amazing considering the age of the cars.
I also believe that the Ph1's will go up in...
Haven't had it out on the road yet so see people reaction, I think I have the only Ph1 in Western Canada!!
It is getting the Canadian equivalent of an MOT today, I think it's failed on a CV boot, aux tensioner rubbing on the aux belt and the front discs being a little pitted from where it has...
