    ITB'd Road & Track Ph1 Titanium 172

Cheers :) It's taken a different route to what I'd originally intended! In hindsight I'd have done things differently and it would have been great to know what I know now when I started!

Don't know. That's why I said possibly! Come to think of it, it'll be Scott's cup, he had to angle them too.

On the move PAS simply isn't required IMO, there's more feel. I got rather sideways coming out of Old Hall corner at Oulton Park and managed a save no problem. However I wouldn't recommend it for a road car, it makes parking more difficult. It mounts in the same position but needs a separate...

Ahh you might have a rail without a pressure regulator. In which case it may well be easier to change the injectors as I'm not certain if you can run the ph1 fuel rail without the ph1 fuel pump. I'm in Llandudno

New guy with a modded 2014 Clio RS

Chances are it'll be ok. I'd just be careful about using launch control that's all.

No need for injectors! 4 bar fuel pressure regulator will do the job and give you better fuel atomisation too. That's what I run on mine with the DTH ITBs, ported head, cams etc. for 207bhp. This is where I got mine...

I wonder if anyone will make a LSD for the EDC gearbox, that would make one very tempting for me.

    T4RKO 172 Cup

I've got a 182 boot floor to replace mine with but I have thought about keeping it, its where I put my two 10L fuel cans for a track day!

Next year should be great if everything goes to plan! I've got some fibreglass doors to fit, I've ordered a fibreglass boot in the group buy and I'll order some polycarbonate windows in the new year. That'll be my weight loss sorted. Unfortunately I have no fabrication and machining equipment...

    AST coilover questions

I went from Koni adjustables with Cooksport springs to ASTs with 400lb front and 285lb rear springs. I didn't notice much difference in compliance but on track its like night and day. Very good coilovers. I live on a peninsula between two beaches so I have corrosion worries but so far they've...

Got my cage from Mark Fish today, I went for the full safety devices cage with single removable door bars and removable diagonal and harness bar. Like this, but in black... Also I trial fitted my brake bells, tweaked the CSKs for the standard mounting bolts and gave them a lick of black VHT...

What road legal track tyres 15"

For an all rounder Yokohama AD08R are the best I've used, 2nd place Federal RSR. In the dry only, DZ03G followed by Kumho V70A/V700

Cup looks tidy :) What's the full spec of the 106 engine? I'm guessing it's a GTI6 engine?

    leeRS Clio Sport 172 ph2

Looks good, nice low mileage too! It would be worth refreshing bushes and shocks (get the 172 cup front and 182 rear) whilst doing the springs, it'll make it a completely different car :)

    172 cup disappointed bhp

If you look at the graph it's down over the standard inlet between 4-5k rpm and then better from 5-7.5k rpm. You go buy your 225 and then I'll show you who's faster
  25. Ph1 Tom

    172 cup disappointed bhp

Lol! It's faster where it needs to be. Overall area under the curve is greater with ITBs and that makes it faster. If you want power below the point where you use it on track why not just buy a diesel....

    172 cup disappointed bhp

I overlayed my results a while back. The engine has cams and headwork, 182 manifold, sports cat and twin silencer exhaust. Before had matched inlets and ITG filter, after with with a KTEC ITB kit and my custom angled trumpets.

    182FF Track Wheels. ET45 or ET38

I still use plastic spigots on track, no problems so far. I've done about 10 track days on them and it gets used properly ;) Put it this way the DS2500 pads glazed, the discs were blue but the plastic spigots were fine.

    182FF Track Wheels. ET45 or ET38

I paid £360 posted from mine from Top Gear. Last time I looked tweeks had them for £380-420 ish

ITBs are they worth the money/ trouble

I like mine! They definitely need a set of good cams though. Either piper 285 or catcams 421 would be my choice although you may need a slightly raised idle speed. Make sure you take it to someone who knows what they're doing and you shouldn't have any problems. I find mine pretty quiet...

    My Nurburgring project smurf blue......

FYI the lightest wheels easily obtainable for reasonable money are OZ ultra leggera which are 5.4kg in Clio fitment and are ET37.
