So today's purchase was a special one, a clio 172 in Monaco Blue with just 8,988 miles from new.
Possibly one if the lowest mileage 172s in the UK? I'd guess the lowest mileage Monaco at least?

So, im entering my second sprint event this year (first was at croft in my M3) but giving cadwell a try in my 172.
Any tips for set up? obviously the M3 is a very different animal so the same sort of rules dont apply to the clio.
also haven't really done caddy much at all, twice in 4 years...
So my PH1 engine has been apart and had new belts, dephaser, catcams, looms re taped....its now all back together and fires on the first turn of the key, however after seconds....nothing. Engine dies, no matter if i apply throttle or not.
any advice?

I have a set of 438 cams to be fitted in my 172 engine along with a set of ITB's, can anyone advise if factory timing is suitable for this set up and if not what should be used as an alternative?

So, ive just finished an ABS delete with bias valve on my ph1 172 and fitted a set of RC8 pads.
i can get the bias adjusted so the rears lock before the front however the front passenger side caliper locks up under braking every time.
the pedal also feels strange, the top section of travel...
Fitting a shift light to my PH1 172 and i need to sap into a wire for the tacho or a wire which caries an engine speed signal. has anyone done this and know wheres best to tap into?

I've done a deal on a gripper diff box for my track car I have a couple questions though.
Box is a none cup 172 box out of a 2002 model and will be going in my 2004 182 none cup clio, will this be ok? I believe it is just the spedo drives that differ however unsure on what boxes.

Ok, so I've owned this clio for pretty much a year now and been on this forum as a full member for a month or so and I've decided it's time to start a post for my track car build over the winter!
The car has been good to me so far not needing any major work doing just the usual track rod ends...
So....I have just bought my first clio 182, first renault in fact!
It's a 2004 182 with the full cup package, pretty much standard spec with the only mods being a stainless longlife exhaust back box and a k&n panel filter.
I'm after advice as to what people would recommend to turn this car...
