Personally id go with a type r if i was in the market for reliable well built secound hand hot hatch, especially seeing how you can pick up a low milage 02 plate example up for less than 10k now, and they would make more sense for a family being like a mini mpv inside and all.
New golf GTI 0-60: 6.52 0-100:16.42
Clio 182 cup 0-60: 6.49 0-100: 16.74

Umm cupra r yes, civic type r yes, focus rs yes, mini copper s much under rated yes, fiesta st although slower in a straight line looking to out handle most cars on a track (went round fords evaluation circuit quicker thand the focus rs). Dont get me wrong its a brilliant car for the money but...
A friend of mine had a racing puma for a year or so, was an amazing car round a track and to look at but in a straight line it wasnt all that, zs180 and 172 both beat him. Hes now got a williams 2 though and that is pretty awful in comparison.
Also worth bearing in mind they are expensive to...
You williams lot are so up yourselfs you would have yourselves believing that you can keep up with the likes of porshes and tvrs when infact your dated cars cant realisically keep up with 172s and type rs standard! At the end of the day its a dated car with a dated chassy, engine and poor...
