Well had the 197 for about 6 months now. Loving it! So far i have lowered it on H&R springs, Red stuff front pads, Sprayed the wheels, Painted the calipers to match the body. And the NBR sticker on the boot lid and the dash :) Comments welcome
I got the plugs from a motor factor, and a local garage fitted them. They were the correct plugs i double checked them. Could the inlet manifold be incorrectly fitted?

When my engine is warm some times the car will not rev past about 5.5k. It stutters and the over revving light comes on. Had it into Renault no faults showing on the computer. Any ideas??
My car is hitting some sort of limater at 6K. Reanult have told me its the plugs. They said std plugs were £15 each, just thought this was a bit pricey. They said my plugs were arcing???
When i am driving the car, say second gear for example. The car hits the usual pick up point at about 5k, but then shortly after about 6k the car seems to stutter and hit some sort of limater. It is quite violent and would throw you forward and back in your seat, anyone any ideas????
I have a 172Cup with a superchip. My mate has a 182. Both cars have a decat, but the 182 also has a full system. At about 100mph on private roads ;-) my cup is about 2-3 car lenghts in front.
Have one on a 172Cup, does improve things. From 2 to 3k you can feel a bit better pull, it also seems to pull better around to the red line. Dont know if itwas worth the £270 tho?
Was getting a bad knocking noise in 1st and 2nd. Replaced lower engine mount with a poly-flex bush from K-tec. This has not worked. The noise is now very bad. Any ideas??? Could it be driveshafts? If so would they not make a noise in third, forth and fifth?

Thinking of geting a pipercross Viper filter for my Cup. I have noticed that a few people on Cliosport have the air intake in the front lower grill. Is this easy to do?
