I have a 16v and have just spent a bit modifying it but I wouldn't got the extent of smoothing in the bumpers etc as I hate spending money. All I'm going to do is swap my Williams interior into it and then new wheels and subtle exhaust and thats it. Next car will be a Golf Gti or something like...

My 1.4 did the same thing and turned out it was the alternator that needed changing. Bought a new one for about £100 ish and cost £50 to fit and got £20 back after taking the old alternator back for them to recon. Not had any problems after that!

I've just got back from work and called the RAC lol Shut the doors last night and now they won't open even though the popper things are up :s Was thinking RAC may be able to get into it and fix the mechanism?

Well I spoke to my uncle (lorry mechanic) about another Clio that i'm looking to buy that has both a noisy power steering and noisy tappits and he advised worst case cost £600 to fix so think I may go for the second one as the other one I said about above is a lot more money to risk something...

Just wondered if anyone could help.... Basically I went to see a 16v last night that is up for sale and whilst on the test drive the bf noticed that the power steering was making a bit of noise. If this was on it's way out, how much would it cost to repair/replace? Also, it was leaking...
