A guy from chips-away came to have a look and said 2 were far too badly kerbed and one was dangerous with the salt damage under the laquer. I am just trying to get it sorted before selling it !! Anyone know any good wheel refurbers near windsor/maidenhead/wycombe. thanks

I need 3 new wheels as 2 are so badly chipped and 1 is salt damaged under the laquer is it best to try and buy 3/4 wheels on ebay or just buy new ?? does anyone know the cheapest place to buy ?? Many thanks Matt - these are 16" for a cup 172

I phoned to book in my 172 cup 02 plate and was quoted 390 for the 36k service, does this sound fair ?? All replies welcome.

To stop the alarm going off I have had it recommended to me to turn all the air vents to close and also to park the car without the front facing the wind, sounds weird but does work !!

Did it just drive through Halfords with magnets attatched ??

the gti 6 is awesome, just eats up miles and looks good too, I sold mine to get my cup as the gti was falling apart after 45k !! tragic electrics

I have a 172cup 02 with yellow side indicators, my freind has a 172cup 02 with white (clear) side indicators. Both cars are unmodified, which colour is standard or is it just potluck !!

Welcome, I also went from a GTI6 to a 172 cup, very good choice, had to sell the GTI6 as bits started to go badly wrong, french engineering at its best !! How long till the clio starts going ?!? The engine bolts have already snapped !! - Fixed under warranty, all the best with yours mate.

My batteries are running out on my key fobs for my clio 172 cup, is it possible to change them myself ?? is there a time limit ?? Or do I have to sell my soul and take them to a dealer to do ?? All help would be gratefully received.

My clio 172 cup has just had one of its engine bolts sheared !! Has anyone had this happen to them ?? Its in the Ren Garage at the moment but they are not forthcoming with information about it !!
