Hi Folks,
Not technically a Clio question, but it's pretty close...
Recently had a crash in the wet weather an my car has been declared a total loss. However, the silver lining is that I'm now free to look at something a bit more fun. Since being a kid I've always fancied a Clio Williams but...
Hi Folks,
I have a 2005 1.2 16v Expression 2dr (leccy windows, no ac -the model just before the Mk3 arrived) and sadly some utter twunt stoved in my drivers door- not leaving details or anything. Genuinely anoyed as the car was in perfect condition previously - polished religiously...
Just investigating my wooly handling and found this. (the fag is there to emphasize the gap)
I'm right in thinking that this is really not right is it? New mount time?
Cheers.
Dave
Hi all,
After 80k the time has come to replace my shocks, so I'm looking to upgrade to a set of coilovers.
I've heard that 1.2 16v's have a different fitment to all the other clios (23mm hub spacing?) - just wondering if anyone knew of a set that would fit nicely? I'm looking to spend as...
Hi All.
I've been driving my 2005 1.2 16v for 5 years now (owned from new) and I feel it's time to trade up to a 172 / 182 / trophy if I'm lucky. I haven't even tried to sell the car just yet but I'm gearing up to do things this month.
I could do with some help re pricing really as I have...
Hi all,
I'm having issues with the Clio at the moment, I have a 2005 1.2 16v.
From time to time - when I come to drive the car the passenger side rear brake sticks on when it's been parked up.
Normally this happens only in wet weather - leading me to think that there was some water...
Hi guys,
The time has come around to service my 2005 1.2 16v and rather than replace the standard items like for like at main dealer money, I'd rather replace them with quality items which wouldn't void the warentee (or at least would be hard to detect or easy -less than 2 hours- to remove)...
Hi guys, I'm in a spot of bother at the moment- the clutch on my 1.2 16v needs replacing ASAP- Have sourced a new clutch, but am having problems finding someone to fit it for me. Problem being that I am astudent and money is tighter than a ducks bum at the mo.
Renault quoted £1000 all in-...

Hi guys, what with things getting painful now i've put my baby on the 'bay. Feel free to take a look and make me an offer if you want to! I'd rather sell her to someone who loves clio's rather than a chav who'll probably cover it in glue and drive it through halfords...
Hi guys- the passenger side window mech in my car has always had a rattle to it, so before i sell her i want to sort the rattles etc. So what do i need to do to take the passenger door card off (its a 3 door)? Is it sealed on with RTV? Does it need torx or any other special tools?
Also the...
Hi guys-
Decided to sell my car in the end- clutch is just too heavy and my knee looks like a tennis ball now!
I have a 2005 05 1.2 16v expression with 29k- its in mint condition despite the slightly high miles (all motorway- so explains the condition) - would i be right in thinking that...
After a week of really painful driving, and a week of driving dire semi auto cars in a search for a less painful alternative to the clio I have come to the conclusion that i will either:
1. Keep the clio and try to find a specialist to convert it to the QS5 box.
2. Buy another smart and put...
Hi guys,
Wonder if any of you guys can tell me- is it natural to have a really heavy clutch on a 2005 1.2 16 clio? It really getting to me now- it hurts my knee to press it- been told that its ok by renault- but i still figure its way way too heavy. Is there anything I can do to ease it off...
Hi guys, I'm dave, I'm new here- been elbow deep in Smart car tunning for the last 4 years- moved over to a clio after a terminal engine failure.
Over the last two ish years i've enjoyed the standard ahem charms of the 1.2 16v, like its ability to cruise happily at 80- (on my own private...
