i have done it, the volvo lump is exactly the same block as the rsi. here is the volvo lump in my engine bay, the inlet has now been changed for the polished one below. putting the engine in was the easy part the hard part was the wiring loom. had a few teething problems with the turbo...

i have got a pipercross filter and its much bigger than your one. i couldnt fit the ignition coil where your one is as i have got a strut brace. yeah the loom was perfect mate had to strip my one to add in the starting circuit and alternator

Renault made the engine for volvo as far as i am aware. all i need now is a an uprated fuel pump, intercooler fell through as the bloke was messing me around so going to source one locally. Gauges have arrived today :D if all goes to plan should fire her up for the first time either this...

after owning both the 16v and RSI i prefer the RSI:rasp: , the only thing i miss is the valvers induction roar

as some of you know i am fitting a volvo turbo engine to my rsi. the project is about 75% done but i have been thinking i am not sure the rsi fuel pump would be up for the job. what fuel pump would you recommend? would a 16v f/pump be up to the job?
