I was wondering whether anyone on here has recently traded in or gone to trade in their Clio 182. I have, and I've been getting values ranging from £1200 to £2000 for a 182 Cup on 81000 miles and full history against a car worth £3500. Has anyone else been getting quotes like this?

Could somebody tell me what size spanner is needed to tighten the inserts? I dont have a spanner big enough and I havent got anything to measure across the flats. Cheers

I would think so. Dont know why people are so scared of changing a timing belt. Its really not rocket science, as long as you are methodical, use the proper tools and read up on the job first you'd have to be pretty bad to screw it up.

How would the pump affect it? Only curious as there is a horrible clicking sound coming from mine whilst stationary or when manouevering slowly. I have changed the track rods as I was advised it could be them, but its still making the noise. Also I tried to tighten the rack clamps but...

I had a similar problem with mine and I traced it to the brake light switch. Changed it for a new one and the problem went away.

First was a Black 182 in Sainsbury's car park in Upton, the second was a Blue 182 at New Brighton in the car park for the Promenade Rally.

I was in the silver one, wasn't chasing though I had just joined the 53 at Clatterbridge as the blue one went past!
