to make things a little easier to understand i'm trying to connect a Aqumist into a 182
it's doing my head in:cry:
I know it's down to me being a dumb ass but it's just 3 wires that are giving me the heebie jeebies.

Hi guys
I'm trying to find a 12V switched power (~5A ), i'm not bothered whether its in the engine bay or in the car, just peeeeeease help me find one.
thanks Peter
thats okay if you live in the uk but if like myself your well away from anyone that can map a stock ecu then you have problems, do you know of anyone in perth western australia that is capable of mapping the stock ecu if so i'll be paying him a visit.
yes i know about Henk as i've had the...
for gods sake man, so by your logic a pectel mapped by lets say Matt is below what you'd get from stock ecu.
could you please indicate at what point in this question i've implied your above statement.
here we go again:banghead:, why can't anyone make a comment on here without the regular few taking the opportunity to take a swing, i didn't say anything about the mapper, i just mentioned an ecu.
not tried this

have a look at getting one of these, cheaper than omp and it's a direct fit.
i think you may have to di*k around with the omp to make them fit.

don't you run the risk of over tightening using grease/lubricant, i'm sure i've read somewhere that torque values are given either dry or wet, or it may have said that the default is for dry.
Peter
the work was carried out by Paul at http://www.autoparis.com.au/
i could be very wrong on this but you may find that some of the tuners/mechanics on this site may give it a bad rap, if it's not been done in the UK then it's not worth doing.
besides bloody aussies can't tune engines or map...
The SS isn't that special.
I see these (GTS) http://www.hsv.com.au/hsv/showroom/ on the freeway occasionally and they are by far the best holden i've ever seen, i've also heard one with a custom exhaust, to say it sounds good is an understatement.
i ended up getting the lower sump cover, they're made of steel plate and are much stronger than the plastic ones.
can't give a part number but i'm sure someone on here can.
hope this helps
