when i took it back to them yesterday they said the belt will tension itself over the next few weeks, so the noises im hearing are normal. the front crank oil seal - when replacing the cambelt they noticed that had split, so replaced it.

im unsure if they had renault tools to work on the car. they charged 680, which included full service, cambelt and tensioner, aux belt and front crank oil seal.

So, i get home from work today and decide to give the car a quick blast over with the Karcher. Get to the last wheel and to my surprise, the washer rips off some paint. Not happy at all! Any suggestions of what i can do?!

thanks for the comments guys. It was mine that had the stripes on the wrong size and were much bigger sized too. so glad they are gone now. whatever made the previous owner to have them on i do not know!

Finally, i got round to removing the stripes. Today i used some t-cut to remove the rest of the marks the stripes had left then gave it a quick wash. Fitted new plates the other week too. Also sportlines due to be fitted next week. Pics will follow once they are on. But for now...

My sportlines arrived late last week and im just wandering how much i should expect to pay to have them fitted at a garage? Also, can anyone recommend somewhere local in the Birmingham area?

I bought the car with them already on. The only thing im concerned about is if i remove them will it leave streaks on the paint?

cheers mate. ill have a further look into them. yeah they were on the car when i bought it. wasnt sure about them at first. they look good on the bonnet and roof but not so sure about the back. im really considering removing them when i next give it a wash but hoping it doesnt leave any streaks.

Im looking around for some springs or coilovers for my cup. Ive been reading alot of threads and can see that Eibach Prolines and Speedlines seem to be popular. Are there any other Springs available for the 182 Cup? With regards to Coilovers, whats the options there? Im guessing theirs a hate...
