the rear disc wont fit with out the wheel bearing being pressed in. ideally you would of put new bearings in the new discs prior to fitting, but in theory you could re use the old bearings.... if thats the case here then the pressing out and back in of the old bearings may of weakened them and...

you got it from renault them selves? it seems a pain to do that when effectively the same component can be purchased for a good deal less elsewere. (as per the e bay link above) still thats the joys of renaults i suppose.

following some iratic idleing i cleaned the throttle body and the ICV with carb cleaner. i wish that i hadnt bothered touching the icv now as it seems to of made the problem worse. upon starting the car the idle is fine and is steady while stationary a few blips it seems to be ok and falls back...

the last time i changed my cv boot i bought a new universal boot, turned it inside out and used a cone to stretch the new boot over the fat part of the drive shaft, did it on the car with out draining the gear oil or splitting the actual cv joint, messy job , but not impossible.
