Washed my 172 on saturday, went to cinema on the night and when I came out and started my car up, the computer reset itself?! It had been raining while i was in cinema. Any ideas? This the second time this has happened, the last time was March'06. Must be an anual thing. lol

Mine were a bit of a bugger to get off too, try prising it off with a screwdriver. They are only push fitted onto a splined shaft.

It's not really hot, but i can regulate the temperature with the + and - buttons. Just Sometimes wont blow really cold. Ok in winter, but not too good when summer comes!

My heater has decided that no matter what temp i set it to, even with air. con. warm air blows out of vents. Bit on a intermittant problem, but would like to get it sorted. Any ideas?

I had the same problem. Turned out I needed my resistor pack changing. Think it cost around £80 on my 172.

Had the same problem on my 172. Had to change the pollen filter and heater control resistor. Didnt have to re-gas a/c. £85.35 for resistor and £14.78 for pollen filter.

Hello all, Got a slight problem with my 2002 Clio Sport. Came to start it this morning to find it juddering on tick over. And then, when i reved it, excessive white smoke with traces of oil left on my drive was discovered. Plus, oil left on my drive below my engine. Not too sure what it may be...

Hi all I have had a few problems with my heater blower. First I could not control it (e.g) could no increase the rate of air flow. Then it was on full blast, now no air is coming out and also a puff of white smoke came out of the vents in the dash! Have a fried the motor and is the resistor shot?

Anybody managed to change the oil on a 172? oOt much room to move around, is there a nack of doing it?
