    Turntables

Ahh, god bless Vinyl. Sadly, my Rega turntable is in my Dad's loft as I don't have space for it now.:( I still rememeber the day when I compared my £200 T/table to a £1000 CD Player and the turntable :slap: all over the CD player. Ggiven the right source material of course. I must have...

Could Blue Ray be the next Betamax....

Indeed they do. I think 2:1 is nearer the mark for BR outselling HD-DVD (software) according to various reports out there.;) That's not a bad result for HD-DVD when you consider there are 5 times (maybe 10!) as many pontential BR players out there then there are HD-DVD players.... That's...

Could Blue Ray be the next Betamax....

And you're not alone with this. Zillions of others are the same (including me). There's just something about owning your own shiny case with a special disc inside:approve: Need much faster speeds etc etc. Be another decade at least before talk about Optical discs being threatened by d/l...

Could Blue Ray be the next Betamax....

Cool:D Shirley if peeps are buying a good DVD player (upscaling and all that) they can buy a Tosh HD-DVD player for as good (if not cheaper) a price which upscales pretty well, and plays HD-DVD's which blow upscaling out of the water (on a big enough tv). Maybe there's more margin in high...

Could Blue Ray be the next Betamax....

Can I ask where you work? I wouldn't have thought the likes of Currys/Dixons sell high End Arcam stuff so do you work for a more specialist retailer?

Could Blue Ray be the next Betamax....

I think Betamax was technically superior... Have to disagree. It's a major coupe for the HD-DVD camp and should ensure it's survival for quite some time. BR Players (inc the PS3) far outnumber the number of HD-DVD players out there (stateside at least). The fact that BR only outsells HD...

Could Blue Ray be the next Betamax....

Ok, ok, couldn't help myself. Ott I know:o Pretty amazing news though announced today. http://uk.reuters.com/article/technologyNews/idUKN2028331720070820 Should put a stop to the BR's "the format war is over" chants:D Hopefully, more studios will follow (a big ask at the...

    182 only 24.4 mpg

Same with me. Short journeys 25-30. Long journeys 30-40. Got 45 on the way home from Wales once but I was knackered and had the cruise on for an hour at 55mph :o
  17. domtheone

    MPG???

I think a heavy foot with town driving would be in the high 20's so I would class yours as pretty light:rasp: ;)

    Paceys car?

4 up against 1 up in a trophy. After 60 mph it was no contest:eek: :D :approve: With an extra 200kilo's++ in the car. Certainly not raped as in M3 vs 182 style but still pretty impressive.

how fast do these guys lap the ring?

Putting it like that you would think that would be true. Doing the math though, if it is a 13(ish) mile lap then it only takes a 26mph av speed to do it.
  23. domtheone

how fast do these guys lap the ring?

Apparantly, riders can average around 25mph in the whole of the Tour De France:eek: Reaching speeds of up to 60mph when deceding so i'd say 30mins is within reach.

    BTB 182 Exhaust Systems

I'll have to get out in one again, in the front, and preferably have a drive of one. If I keep my car a while (not certain) then I defo want to change at some point as the standard one is sh*te, imo.

    BTB 182 Exhaust Systems

Ive; seen some clips of these on youtube. 1 in particular where is shows the car ticking over and then speeding off into the distance. Sounds pretty cool. It got me thinking that maybe I should upgrade the p*ss poor standard exhaust I have on my car. Had a chat to another CS member...

As Usual, Renault can't find the fault.

They did mention something about grinding away some of the bodywork! Aye, Tony did mention that.:D To be honest, I just want to find out definitively, what's wrong and get it sorted. Something must have happened as it's only been doing it for a short time. I have trips to Wales...

As Usual, Renault can't find the fault.

Well another day and no fault found. Got my car back so will have to live with it. Problem is, if it only goes pear shaped after a 100 odd mile run, what's the chances that I can take it into a stealer to show them the problem:mad: Only thing that is clear is that i'll never own another...
