Just on way home and the mrs decides to put the heater on full, started heating up then cut off. the fans don't work (doesn't get warm either) then I noticed the engine temp gauge was sat at the bottom too.
I have browsed on here and seems to be either engine temp sensor or coolant sensor. But...
Think I heard that basically someone hit him on the motorway, causing damage to wing bumper, alloy and steering rack broke. Unsure about the dampers etc..... Sold it over 4yrs ago.
Hard one really! I have a decent set up now on the 106 Bilstein B8 with uprated springs, and has LSD so can take the corners. The trophy was set up by Mark Fish and was excellent on track and fast road driving.
Sadly the guy I sold it locally too had an accident, but seems to have been repaired!

Its a great little car to drive around in. Sadly doesn't have the same poke as the modern hot hatches…… but is funny when your keeping up with them and can't shake you off no matter how hard they try!
Haven't updated in a while, mainly because I have been putting all my money towards the new house.
I have recently bought a couple of things to help improve a slight knock which started to appear a few weeks back
Should be getting fitted next monday. Also bought a sport cat to go with my...
They are a machine! I owned mine for around 8/10 months, did around 5k miles..... Spent a small fortune on running it! I needed 4 new tires just after I bought it, and discs and pads all round. The discs and pads cost me just short of £600, the tires around 800 (fitted)
Parts are just...
Still miss mine!! sold it locally so I still see it on a weekly basis! only had 1 owner, 40k and full dealer history.

Re: My new project - 106 GTI
Yeah the engine mount had completely failed and the knocking I was feeling in the pedals was caused by the lower arm rear mounts knocking not the ARB! so bought all new lower arms and bushes. Did you get some solid engine mounts in the end mate - only just released...
Two pipes for the heater matrix mate, these are the two… mrs had one go on her car

*Update*
Well since I haven't updated for a few months thought I better had add to my project.
First off between xmas and new year my new gearbox decided to make some strange noises! because of the time and money I just garaged it and left it until after the new year….
While the pug was...
Im 30 and driving around in it! even on the new estate when we move most of the cars are bmw's, audi's etc…. I rock up in a 14yr old 106 gti! not going to get rid in a hurry though, just put it in the garage and turn it into a minter.
Already have braided line - again there not in great condition so will change them in the coming months, the GTI 6 master cylinder is something I was on the look out for when the car was in bits, but couldn't find one in time.
Yeah was annoyed when I found all the rust and parts had been cheaply fixed, things like replacing the engine mounts - the previous owner had only replaced the lower mount instead of replacing all 3. But now in my possession it will be truly looked after
The gears are sloppy in comparison to my Evo and R26 but find them ok, managed to tighten them up with new stainless gear linkages, no play at all now. The LSD in it though is unreal grips when throwing it into corners.
Cheers guys, I know the colour isn't to everyones taste but it grows on you- but since I have bought it and have been driving it around. Whenever I go out and park up Im approached by someone wanting to buy it!
Well well well! been a quite member for a while now since selling my evo and ep3 type r, really wanted another evo but the funds went on something a lot better!!
We have managed to buy a brand new house in a lovely location, house should be finished next july/aug - 3 bedroom, garage, garden...
My colour on my EP3 I liked a lot! ended up making it mine own, to which 3 people have chosen the same colour! (should have put a copywrite on it!)
It was a gunmetal, but had a slight tint on bronze and pearl in it! looked brilliant in the flesh against the silver. Wanted to stay away from the...
