Hi guys, I had some various versions of this knocking and solved them like this..!
knocking when maneouvering or going over bumps: manifold, pull engine forward (described above) or adjust exhaust shielding under car and into engine bay.

Hi there, I had this, for me it was the gearbox lower mount, bit of a gotcha, because it is the mount under the battery, but it tightens from both ends. Mine wwas the lower nut that came loose. Took me ages to work it out, because the top part of it was still tight! Hope this helps, Joe

If any of you guys are willing to get them refurbed, there is a set on ebay at the moment, going for 270 buy it now, have tyres but they look like cheapies! was considering them to replace my damaged ones, but might as well just refurb mine!

It's also set differently in first and second gear, to stop it pinging off the limiter so quickly, I think!
last time i checked, definetely had a lower rev limit in the first two gears anyway!

How easy is it to do yourself?
I have toyed with the idea! I have changed gearboxes etc in the past, so have a bit of DIY spirit in me and a pretty good toolbox! does it takew long? involve special tools you can't make yourself?

I have this problem too, still not been able to resolve it, and I can't get the bonnet open at all! bit of a bugger cos I've run out of window wash!
the plastic handle has busted and the cable is knackered, anyone know of a manual release option or method?
