mikey 16v,i was told this time and time again from renault......that it was the top mounts rubbing.try the strut top mod with the 3mm spacer washers and if you still get the creaking then look into your bottom arms
the smell is more than likely from the catalyst as u have been thrashin the nuts off it fella.Ull notice an increase in fuel consumption as ur a feeding more air into the engine and the ecu learns from this and throws more fuel in to compensate otherwise your engine would run way to lean,(not...
just had my janspeed system fitted and chuffed with result.wanna now get my inlets done and get the 182 remapped to make the most of the mods(itg, hill power bend, larger caf).whose best round the midlands?i was gonna use hill power for the inlets but didnt no about the mapping.my cousin had his...

Re: 182 Suspension Failure and Warranty Issues
o and as for the damage you make sure you get all the relevant insurance details from the dealer as they may try to brush this under the carpet.make sure any work is done properly and not just nasty smart repairs, and that your paintwork warranty...
Re: 182 Suspension Failure and Warranty Issues
my 16,000 mile 182 (cup pack)has just been in for the same creaking noise.have you seen where your shockers are leaking or taking there word for it as it turned out to be the lower arms on my 182.the dealer had my motor in 3 times over a month to...
its the third time now my 55 plate 182 (cup pack) has been back to autoworld reno to have the steering creaking noise rectified.just dropped it off and i told them not to bother calling me to fetch it if they have just greased everything AGAIN to cure the creaking.i have read on here that the...
i had this exact same thought about my btb.great fit and awesome quality with a good mid range gain in performance but a bit too loud for everyday use from inside the car for me.have to admit it was alot quieter after 4500rpm but hard to drive at those revs all the time lol.id definately say its...
i have got this creaking sound aswell and its bloody loud.been bk to autoworld reno near bilston 3 times now and still got it.they keep greasing my top mounts and steering joints.best excsue was last one.drive it round and let the grease work in lol lol.
i was thinkin about doin this aswell to my standard system.i did run a btb for a week or so but found it too loud for me(getin old i think lol).i was sort of thinkin that this might still show a small gain in mid range as the standard cat looks very restrictive.i no that the guys on here say the...
dave 3141...........thats interesting you say that.my cousin has just had a blueflame fitted to his megane 225 cup and its a crackin fit and has a real nice subtle tone to it,not much louder than standard.how gud is the fit of the blueflame 182 system you have??.ive been thinkin about tryin...
ive got a v8 discovery thats on lpg and has been for nearly 6 years, hassle free.u hav to warrant the installation costs with how many miles you do to make it worthwhile.as for ppl slateing the systems most the time its cheap and nasty systems that pose a problem.the best systems are italian made...
i was thinkin about de-catting my 182.ive just put my standard exhaust back on after havin a btb for a week and not being able to get used off the increased noise level(think im geting old or sumthin lol).is there many off you that have done this with a standard system????looking inside a...
the system had been on mikeA's 182 for around 10 months i think before i bought it from him.dont get me wrong the system sounds real gud,a nice deep tone, and its mad how quiet it goes when i have it above 4500rpm.but around town and cruising on the motorway its just to loud for me...
but if i read right and the system origanally had 3 sliencers i wonder if it made a considerable difference................ive emailed shed aswell.cheers ali
ive just had a btb fitted to my 182.the quality, mid range gains and fit of the system is superb but i find it a bit loud.i think i read somewhere that the first runs of the btb system had 3 silencers instead off just 2 like mine has.could i have another silencer fitted to tone this noise down...
