    Steering wheel stalk

Ripspeed is not currently supported by the stalk adapters I'm afraid. Not sure if they ever will be as my colleague always warned people about that one thing when buying an RS unit.

    Steering wheel Stereo control

A word of advice - using the Autoleads usually means a dash-off jobbie. I used Connects2 which just sat behind the stereo :)

    external temp gauge

Mine is also doing the same, but both mirrors have nipples :S Guess I'll have to clean them both.

    electric windows - one touch

Mine have a mind of their own - The passenger one has never been one-touch, but as of today the driver side has been one-touch for opening but still requires one touch for closing :S I've heard there is a reset to do, but having tried it and it not working, I think it may be age/model specific.

    Any good ice forums?

Give the TalkAudio forums a look mate :) Very helpful :)

    Stock tweeters with Coaxials?

It's surprisingly nippy for an auto. For a 1.4, it really is quite a perky engine in comparison with others on the market. Makes stop-start a breeze too :D

    Stock tweeters with Coaxials?

Yep - medical condition forced me to :(

    Stock tweeters with Coaxials?

Aye, I probably will - I spent about 4 weeks deciding on what to buy within my budget and I'll probably spend another 4 weeks tweaking the sound :o

    Stock tweeters with Coaxials?

Fantastic! I guess they'll do until I can afford some proper comps :D Thank you very much Gumby! :)

    Stock tweeters with Coaxials?

Crackin! Saves taking the dash off too which I'd prefer not to do as when I do or have something like that done it normally always gets screwed up.:clown: As I'm typing, another Q has popped into my head - how will the HU know where to send the hgihs? Is it built into the cross over already...

    Stock tweeters with Coaxials?

Sorry, dumb dumb time! Plugged in? I'll be replacing the HU too (should have stated this, sorry!) does that mean they can be plugged into the HU? Thanks :)

    Stock tweeters with Coaxials?

I'm upgrading the ICE in my Clio and have 2 pairs of Coaxials on the way to me via my local ICE man. I will be putting one pair of these up the front (I know, I know, components FTW etc...) I went against front components due to my budget and my ICE man managed get me the coaxials (Magnat...

    Kenwood Sub

That is exactly why I decided against this type of Sub. I don't have my music blaring and so didn't think 50w RMS would provide enough of a feel or punch at lower volumes. Whereas a boxed 10"+ would, which is what I have ready to be installed. For the money mate you can get a better Sub and...

will a Rneualt Alpine CD Changer work with an Aftermarket HU?

As Topic title :) Are there such adapters, or will an Alpine HU work? Or is it a total no-go? Thanks

Insurance - Companies who honour rapid bonuses?

Full Licence since November 2007. My insurance should be up for renewal quite soon (I say should, I'm on a 9 month rapid bonus policy with NUD but my certificate says November 07 - November 08) and I would prefer to change to a company that has english call centres due to my experiences from...

Sorting out my Policy with NUD

Right, my Dad's now home from Austria and so it's time to sort my Policy which we believe NUD sold to us, knowingly to THEM that it was fronted. The Situation from the beginning :) : 1) With Quinn Direct as a Learner for £1800 F/C. I pass in November 2007 aged 17 and they say they want an...

    17 year old, clio insurance

I had a feeling it was - Yet we explained that it was my Car but the guy insisted it would be OK with my Dad as the Main driver. In effect, is it not also NUD that are breaking the law by selling me a service that is illegal? I'm not saying that I'm not breaking the law, just suggesting that...

    17 year old, clio insurance

I have a 2002 Clio 1.4 Privelige. I bought it in June and Quinn quoted me £1800 as a learner. I then passed and they wanted another £650 so I promptly told them to Foxtrot Oscar. I then called NUD on a Rapid Bonus Quote for £1150. Policy is in my name, Dad is Main Driver, Mum is a named...

    Insurance for 17yr olds

Sounds like my Sister should have gone with them (First car was a Saxo VTR - 17s, Bodykit, Twin exit silencers, 6x9s) She got quoted £1550 for 9 Months by NUD (Albeit, with a years NCB after that 9 months) That's tempting now...Over time, maybe some new alloys, rear bumper and exhaust. And of...

    Insurance for 17yr olds

What do you mean when you say they don't mind mods? That they will happily continue to insure you as you mod your vehicle? Aye, would make sense. At the mo when I'm driving, I've normally got between 25 and 50 years of experience sat next to me :P

    Insurance for 17yr olds

Quinn Direct quoted me £1785.29 F/C on my 2002 Clio Privilege 1.4, which sounds a lot, but the next up was about £2019. The big guns like NUD and DirectLine came in about £2400-£2700. And the best: 4YouungDrivers...£3300!

    CD Changer button confusion

Thanks for the supply Will. I'm probably going to play it safe and buy one that has the Cable included. The Bracket doesn't fuss me too much as Stickyback Velcro should do the job, but if I see a kit for a nice price, I'll go for it. Thanks for all the help dude! :D

    CD Changer button confusion

Does the Clio come with the Changer cable on the loom ready to plug the Changer in? One auction I've seen says it should be present, but I'm unsure Thansk for helping an ICE noob! :D

    CD Changer button confusion

That's great to hear, Will, thanks! Don't worry - If I were to hold anyone responsible it would be Renault for making adding their own parts to their own cars so difficult! Thanks for the sale Heads-up too - I'l have a look around :)

    CD Changer button confusion

Hi all, I have an 02 Clio Privilege with the Tuner List HU and Steering Stalk. I've been looking on eBay at some of the Renault/Alpine Changers and a few of the auctions mentioned that the HU needs CD Changer control or a CD Changer Button. There's no CDC button on the front of my HU (Unless...

Noob thread: Need some buying advice please!

Thanks for the replies :) Went to have a look at it today (Being Sunday, we knew no-one would be there but it was good to see it in the metal.) and was impressed with it on the inside (Through the windows at least!) but the outside however was a bit tatty, especially when it came to the alloys...
