Cat D I'd consider after a test drive and a good inspection, but I'd personally stay well away from a Cat C car as this tends to be more then just cosmetic damage and usually involves jigs :S
Should be able to bag a reasonable one for £800 I managed to get my Naples for £1200 with 2 folders full of history including recent cambelt, steering rack, suspention and brakes just needs a little cosmetic TLC, you tried pistonheads ?
My fiances got one off these 1.6 16v 100 BHP nice lil cars much better built then clios tbh nice upgrade, if it was me though I'd have got a 1*2 and used the rest on insurance.

Yes I am looking to paint the inserts and to install some custom LED running lights I've seen a PH1 with painted inserts, not to keen on putting my lights in an oven though there must be another soloution.
Hope someone can help I have searched but can not find an answer or guide I want the take the clear cover off of the Headlamps, does anybody know how to do this and what tools are needed? Any help would be much appreciated.

You can remove the washers and it will pass an mot but your left with holes which to plastic weld, fill, prime and paint is going to be over a £100 for a proffesional finish.
Police are cracking down on illegal plates and instead of a £30 fixed penalty they can now apparently fine you upto £1000 and take away your VRM completley.
