Can anyone tell me if a later 172 steering wheel will fit into a phase 1 172 if so will the airbag unit connect up and work as normal.

Just had cambelt done, and garage advised that it was broken delaminated etc.

Hi all How easy is it to change the top Engine mount on a phase 1 172?, and does anyone know where to get one other than Renault.

havent got the car back yet , wrong pulley kit sent, (more like he did'nt get them all as i went through it with him again this morning). Water pump bearings were shot apparently so looks like i may have had a lucky escape.

I would hope he does have the tools as he is fairly large garage and has been established for years, as for the Aux pulleys he seemed to know which parts i needed when i explained it to him, its in tomorrow so i will check parts when i drop it off.

if it does that once i get it back, then i think there may be a problem with the coil packs.:D

So should be OK then, just wasnt sure how he could do it all for that price

Hi All Just booked my Clio 172 in for Cambelt and aux belt change including all cams and tensioners it comes to 450.00 all in , think this is a tad cheap so asked if he was using genuine renault Parts but he said they were German swedish which he said are better, Is this the case ?.

I have read all posts to central locking but have not found a solution, on my last thread no one has yet replied. what i need help with is some basics on the electrical setup , the passenger and boot do no lock on my phase 1 sport from the fob or button in the car does anyone know if there are...

Ok, i have done further investigation, does anyone know whivh relay controlls the central locking, i assume its the panel under the glove box as this seems tobe doing the clicking when button on fob is pressed

Another problem to go with the rheostat, the central locking only locks and unlocks drivers side, i can maually lock/unlock passenger side and boot. got a solenoid for the boot from scrappy but still not working any ideas?

where is it?, taken the drivers side scuttle panel off , but cannot see the rheostat as it looks in other threads i have searched , is it different on a sport?

hi just lowered my phase 1 sport by 30 mm, would i be ok putting 17 inch alloys with 215/45 tyres on ?

Hi all I have replaced front d/s wheel bearing on my phase 1 sport, took the hub to my local garage to have bearing pressed etc , put it all back together but after comparing to the other side the thread on the driveshaft does not come through the hub anywhere near as much. took it...

thanks for reply can it be accessed by removing wheel ? or do i need to be under the car
