I was told they only have software on the computer system to do cars upto 2003.
I've been told by some locals that the folk in the garage dont know how to use it as only one guy was trained and he left a few months ago.
I called the only place in Caithness that can do a 4 wheel laser alignment and i was told that my 182 Trophy could not be set up by them.
Does anyone know where i can get this done.
Inverness is really the furthest i would be prepaired to go... (i'm in thurso, beside john o' groats.)
Thanks
This is so true ^^^^, the head gasket on the cossie has gone more times than i care to remember just because its not used. A compression plate is now needed as the head has been skimed to its minimum.
All these low mile cars sitting in a garage doing nothing for weeks on end are just waiting...
after replying to your post saying i didn't have any i went out to the car and had a rake about... in the tool bag right at the bottom were 2 new studs. :)
Had a hard time removing the broken stud but its now out and replaced.
Drilled a pilot hole through the broken one and splashed some...
Was getting some squealing from the brakes which was pissing me off big time so this afternoon i decided to give them an overhaul.
some bright fekin spark used thread lock on the wheel studs!! :nono: One is now sheard off.
I am on the understanding renault's are prone to this anyway but...
Apart from my first car being front wheel drive I have always had 4wd with a turbo. In recent months I have been getting sick of spending money on moding and running costs. In total that's 10 years of high performance cars all running over 300bhp. Had my wife not wanted to drive I may still have...
I've just sold my high bhp Evo 6 and bought one. I can honestly say I really really like this car. My one is also fitted with some whilteline goodies too! (rear ARB and lower front lock brace.) So the handling is even better.
I bought it as a cheaper to run car for the wife (compared to the...
With petrol prices getting kind of silly now what does everyone use in their clio.?
I always put 98 ron in my old Evo because it was mapped for it and anything less made the car run sh*te, it would miss and be very hesitant to pull.
At the moment i am using 98ron in the trophy but i think...
I have 6mm of tread on the front and rears,
I really think its getting worse..
It has to be something with the tracking being off. i.e more toe on one wheel than the other.
I should prob ask on ClioTrophy.co.uk but what are the standard geometery settings for the Trophy.
Thanks lads but i'm ok to get the wheel bearings pressed in and 190 quid is well.... NO COMMENT.
I'll let you know how much it costs me once its done. I'll be doing all the work myself.
Thanks

Read from post no:10 I think you have the same problem as mine. I've been told its normal due to the wide tyres and short wheel base.
I've only had my car 6 days and so i cant say if its normal or not but...
Will be looking to change the rear brakes on the car within the next week or 2.
I was on EBC's web site and there seem to be 2 different sets of basic disc's and 2 versions of uprated disc's. I'm just looking to buy standard stuff but don't know which is the correct ones.?
Also, they have a...
It's a bit out of the way that, considering i live on the north coast of scotland beside john o groats.
Star are very good, i'll give them a shout to see if they can help. at least then i can just about make it in one day.
I personally think carbon bonnets look cheap and tacky for the reasons you came up with yourself.
However in my scooby days someone did this to their car...
Now that looks quite nice.
The drivers seat in my trophy tilts forward and then slides on the rails to let someone in the back.
The passenger side however only tilts.
Now the treadline seats aint small so the passenger side is usless for getting kids into the back.
Is it ment to be like that or has mine gone faulty.?
Have you adjusted the front dampers at all? could yours be set softer causing it to reduce/stop the bounce effect.
To be honest i dont know anything about the front shocks on this car, i havent had suspension like that on any car i've owned.
Thats not so bad then, thought i'd have to upset the wife by spending the afternoon at my mates doing the geomitery... might go out and play with it anyway.
