    A productive day/week!

She'll be well pleased with the comments -- thanks very much :D We're not quite sure what colour it is. The guy who buys the paint get's it from elsewhere, and this particular company call's it 'Orange Nash', but I know they called my old car 'Super White', but it was actually 'Glacier...

    A productive day/week!

The colour coding was done at my Uncles garage, so didn't cost alot ;) Wouldn't know where to start pricing a job up like that...

    A productive day/week!

I'd love fogs but the wiring isn't there for them -- I did look in a scrapped Clio the other week to trace the wiring back to the cabin, and then under the dash, but it was too complicated. Gutted really, as I think fogs would set the front end off a treat. And I'm a stickler for things being...

    A productive day/week!

I guess I should have had a project thread really, but it doesn't seem worth it, only made a few changes. Well, in the hope that the Bank Hol will stay nice, I've spent some time on the missus's Clio today. We've already put new (Ph2) rear lights on, gotten a Dynamique spoiler and a pair of new...

    How do I clean this??

Cool. Cheers for the input! Now, any ideas on what product I should use to restore faded black plastics?

    Removing rear wiper

Looks good! But keep it black imo, blends into the rear window. CC'ing it'll make it stand out!

    How do I clean this??

Hi people. Just got the Clio back from the bodyshop -- had a tiny bubble on the rear arch and a scabby blister on the sill. Both jobs have been done and are top-notch, but i've been left with a problem...see if you can spot it lol: Dirty and shiny!! I've tried just regular t-cutting...

    Been to the scrappy today...

lol. They're my 'ol faithfuls, purely for when working on cars. The fronts are actually perfectly smooth from all the time I spend on my knees waxing and polishing. Perhaps I ought to treat myself to a new pair of work trainers next...

    Been to the scrappy today...

Again, cheers guys! I think she'll appreciate the feedback. The car's already had a wash with the Depo lights in and they were ok, so I'll keep an eye on them: but thanks for the info, I'll keep my eye on them! I'm not so keen on window tinting, but I could go darker on those wheels. I think...

    Been to the scrappy today...

Thanks for the comments guys... It is def. a more non-common colour: there are a few this colour round my way, but none modified at all, just standard run of the mill, so it's nice to have one a little different. I didn't get the lights from the scrappy, I got them new from eBay. They were £60...

    My Blue Clio!

I think thats just the way they come up when they've been resprayed. Mine also look a little dull after colour coding, not quite as shiny as the paint work. Nice little thread you've got here-very similar to my Clio (except I still have rear seats lol)...just wish i'd started a tread up a...

    Been to the scrappy today...

Well, thought I'd post a few images of my girlfriends Clio (well, it's ours really, but she bought it...I just mod it/clean it/service it...lol) It's only a 1.2-just a cheap car to run as we're saving for a house, but I can't help but get a little carried away in the scrapyard lol, but i've...

    Back seat release

Hi guys. The little tab that releases the back seat has broken. The mech still works, but the little tab that holds the seatbelt has snapped off. I managed to get one out of a breaker, but the seat was already ripped so I could remove it easily. How do I get it out of mine to replace without...

    Show of your ice... :D

Here's mine...just practical. You can still access the spare wheel without amp/sub getting in the way. Don't know why the carpet looks 2 different colours though. And I'm replacing the black carpet behind the amp, got a new boot liner so it's all the same colour and doesn't stick out too...

Super job-thats sorted that problem! Thanks very much!

Trying to use a guide to change the rear lights but...

Hi people. I don't know if the website is out of date, but I'm having trouble with a link in a guide on this site. As you can see from my post count, i'm still quite the 'noob', so obviously missing something out here... I've got a Mk2 Ph1, and am performing the age old ph1 > ph2 rear lights...

    Mk2 Ph1 Lowering...amount and pics?

They are the ones I've been looking at, but an update down the bottom of the listing states that the manufacturer has changed the spec, so it's now 35fr/30rear. I liked those as they were a bit more in my price range! There's no immediate hurry-i would like to have ordered some by the end of...

    Mk2 Ph1 Lowering...amount and pics?

A good link and some good pics there, cheers. 40mm doesn't seem initially to make a huge difference does it? So perhaps I should be looking for 40mm kits and not 35's... Although, I know springs bed in. When I had my 480, I lowered it 40mm, and when we checked the sill to ground clearance...

    Mk2 Ph1 Lowering...amount and pics?

Hi people. I'm looking to lower the Clio. I'm full stop not having a 60mm kit because the car does at least once week have 4 people in it, so would become impractical around town. I've been looking at 35mm kits (well, 35mm front/30mm rear), but have seen on the Renault forums big discussions...

    Anybody any idea??

    Fitting front foglights (Mk2 Ph1)

Hi people. I've finally gotten round to getting some front foglights from eBay. I probably paid too much for them, but I don't have a decent scrappers near-by, so eBay was the only choice. I do't think it's too bad-I got the fog lights, plastic mounts and indicator stalk for £55 delivered...

Whats this little socket under the ash tray??

Hi people. Whilst giving the Clio a ruddy good clean the other day, i pulled the ash-tray out and found a little switch underneath. Does anybody know what it's for? The Clio in question is a Mk2 Ph1 1.2 RN.... I just like to know what all these little bits are for incase i find...

    Small jobs advice for a Mk2 Ph1...

Ah, cheers for that. Would have been a pain if i'd have started and not realised! That ought to be added to the 'How To' really i suppose. I'll have to have a look next time it's out of the garage! I'm not even that fussed about dual optics, but i'm put off the standard headlights because they...

    Small jobs advice for a Mk2 Ph1...

Hi guys. Due to some circumstantial changes, the Clio had to be put on the back burner a bit. It's great as a little run-about, so haven't been to bothered about tinkering with it that much. But due to the sale of my 480T, and not replacing it (house deposit on the cards), i'm getting a...

    Clio Mk2 Ph1 Headlights

Ok. Well, i just found this thread about getting the lights out, so the removal isn't a problem. I've always had Volvo's, so i'm sure removing a Clio headlight won't be too challenging. With regards to the wiring, does it need any extra relays or anything, or would it be just chopping and...

Could I get some help/advice please?

There is that approach i suppose....best wait till after Xmas mind, there's still some things i want so i have to be nice....

    Clio Mk2 Ph1 Headlights

Aah, they're called 'Dual Optics' are they? Thats what i want-but nobody seems to know if they're a direct swap. I don't want to get some and not be able to fit them. I don't want to cut/solder any wires really, just trying to find out if they're a in/out job, and whether i have to remove the...

Could I get some help/advice please?

I'd like to, but it's the G/F...it's her car, although we both use it, i do all the maintenance, cleaning, problem solving, servicing etc-as usual lol-and she's not fussed about doing it. The mirror casing on the drivers side needs replacing as it has a big 'ol scrape on it. I'm hoping to find a...

    Clio Mk2 Ph1 Headlights

What do you mean by that? The wirings no different? I see you have a Mk2-have you changed your lights? All i want to know really is whether they are just a straight swap i guess... I think they look nicer-the headlights on at the moment look so bland, plus they go a really crappy colour over...
