It looks like someone before tried to take the tweeter grills out as there is a small crack in one and probably why the tweeters were removed?!?

Hi Adam,
The silver trim around the blower vents and trim along the glove box and either side of the steering column just pops out, just carefully prize it out with a trim-clip remover or flat headed screwdriver. as for the centre console, im still to figure that out, can't imagine its that...
Hi everyone,
Im going to replace the tweeters in the dash and was wondering if removing the dash will be the same as a mkII??
I've seen guides to do it on the mkII but not the mk4(2006-).
Any help would be great

I want to fit a short shifter kit to my car but can't find one to fit.
Iv had one fitted to previous cars and love it.
Anyone know where I can get one for my car or know a different model that will fit? I.e 1.2 kit etc.
Cheers guys, steve
Thanks mate, but i've tried that. There is no way a 2 gauge wire is going through there.
Had a look at drilling a new hole through the bulkhead, but wanted to know where other people had drilled a new hole before i go drilling holes everywhere

Out of interest as your an audio man, i've noticed Rockford Fosgates 8" sub. How would this sound mate?

Just to update on this thread, yes an amp is being used.
Not quite sure where your coming from when saying running them without a sub would be a waste of money.
Amp'd quality components sound great, and after spending money on all of this im hardly going to install incorrectly!

Hey James,
If it wasn't baked in a spray booth then i'd leave it for at least 4-5 days mate, the paint will be to soft.
You can machine polish, after a few hours if baked but if not then leave it, you will burn through and be very annoyed
Iv got the tar remover, so i will remove it with that then clay.
The overspray isnt to bad, so i think im gonna go for the megs mild overspray clay set for that.
So megs clay sounds like a good bet then......that good as all my cleaning products are megs :)
Hey Rich,
this car has never been polished or wax, its had one owner and yes they kept it clean but it wasnt waxed.
It has overspray on the rear bumper and rear quarter, bits of road tar, and general grim build up on the car.
I have seen the results of clay and it works well.
Using a clay...
